The Suprise and The Hatred

Savannah POV

As I walked outside Alec kissed me. After that I went and sat down and listened to everything they were saying. Blah Lydia this, Lydia that, arranged marriage. Wait what.

"Alec your mother and I want you and Lydia to be married by next week, " Robert said.

"But dad have forgotten that I'm already in a relationship," Alec said and I smiled.

"Yes but she is a downworlder, Alec. She can't be trusted," Maryse said and I got mad.

"Of course she can. She just needs to understand that you trust her before she can trust you," Alec replied.

"How can you trust her? Savannah's a nasty werewolf who has no relation to her 'father'. I bet her parents give her to Magnus because of her being the disgusting girl she is," Lydia blurted out and that's when I lost it.

I walked in and said, "for your information you bitch my parents did not give me up. They were killed."

"Yeah they prob-", Lydia started but didn't finish cause I slapped her.

"Don't you dare finish that," I told her, "they were killed by Valentine." And with that argument done I slapped her again and stormed out crying.

Alec POV

After Savannah left I tried to go after her but my mom stopped me and said, "see my point. Alec she got mad and slapped Lydia twice."

I was shocked, "how can you say that. You heard Lydia insult Savannah and your taking Lydia's side?"

"I never heard an insult," she told me.

"Of course you didn't because you were just acting like you were paying attention," I yelled at her.

"Alec tell me what was said," my mom looked at my dad who was shocked as well. I noticed he actually liked Savannah.

"Well Lydia started to say that Savannah's parents abandoned her because she was a disgusting creature. And that's when Savannah walked in and said that her parents were killed and Lydia was about to say something else when Savannah slapped her the first time and stopped her from finishing the sentence. Then Savannah said her parents were killed by Valentine then she slapped Lydia again and walked out," I said to her.

She looked back down at my dad and said, "this still doesn't change my mind about the marriage."

"Whatever," I said then walked out to find Savannah.

I saw Izzy, "hey Izzy have you seen Savannah anywhere?"

"Yeah she's with Jace," she said to me but not looking at me. I wondered why she was with my parabatai but I wasn't going to ask. I walked up to Jace's room and knocked on the door.

Jace opened the door and said, "I'm happy your here."

I looked at him funny and said, "why?"

"Because I don't know what Savannah's crying about. She won't tell me, but I'm guessing you know," he said. He let me in and I saw Savannah sitting on his bed with her head in her hands crying.

I walked over, sat down, and put my arms around her. She was sobbing into my shoulder when she said, "how could she say that about me?"

"Because she's a downworlder hater and doesn't care about anyone else but herself," I told her and she looked at me.

Then Jace said, "who made her upset?"

"This lady from the clave named Lydia," I told him. He looked at us with confusion then I said, "I'm supposed to get married to her but in the middle of the conversation she insulted Savannah and then they got into an argument." Then he looked at me like that explained everything.

"She did more than insult me," Savannah said still crying. That's when I tried to get her to calm down and eventually she did. "Do you think you can get rid of her?"

I looked at her and said, "I don't know. My mom still wants the marriage to happen."

"How can she make you do that," Jace asked me. Savannah giggled and I smiled. "What?"

"You just asked a silly question," she told him.

"To answer your question," I said, "because she's my mother. I might be able to rebel but she'll still tell me to do it."

"Oh," he said and Savannah giggled again. "I want to know what's so funny?"

"You are," she said. He looked confused as if he had never seen a person laughing. But he doesn't know that I'm telling her to imagine him wearing a dress and different things like that. I was doing it to cheer her up.

After we told Jace what and why we were doing what we were doing he said, "OK that's a little funny."

After that we left and finished what we started earlier.

A/n: I know I say this all the time but the reason I'm making Lydia a jerk is because I just hate her. So I'm not a hater I just make people act the way they seem to me.
