Just then Alex woke up in her dark bedroom with a scream.  She had had a dream in a dream.  She was really hot and the fear within her took over her body.  She couldn't move.  She laid there as she heard her parents running to her room as fast as they could.  As soon as her parents burst through the door, Alex had the ability to move again.  Her parents were there, she was safe now.  No skeleton man.  "Is everything OK?"  Her mom asked.

"Yes, I'm fine,"  Alex replied.

"Well we heard a scream."

"I know.  That was me.  I just had a dream.  That's all."

"Oh you're hot Alex!  Do you feel alright?"  Asked her dad feeling her forehead.

"Yeah, I feel fine.  It's just kinda hot in here.  I was just too hot I guess."

"It's not hot in here though.  It's freezing!  Did you open your window before going to bed?"  Asked her mom as she went over to close it.

Alex had never remembered opening the window but it was open in her dream.  "Uh, yeah, I must have opened it."

With all the noise Ally woke up.  "What's going on?" She asked while rubbing her eyes.  You could tell the girls mom was contemplating on whether or not she should tell Ally about Kaitlyn.

"Alex just had a bad dream.  Sorry for waking you up," replied their mom.

"Oh, that's weird.  I did too," Ally stated.  "I was sleeping until I got woken up by someone in all black.  They picked me up and carried me out Alex's window."

"Was Ally the one that opened my window?"  Alex thought.

"That,s weird," their mom said.  "Alex's window was actually open.  Do you think you opened it?"

"Maybe I was sleep walking.  Actually, I think I was.  I woke up on the floor of my room."

Alex calmed down a little.  Now she knew who had opened her window.  Nothing was really wrong.  After everything was sorted out, the girls went back to bed.  Alex had no more nightmares.  It took her a while to fall back to sleep.  Again Alex was up trying piece things together.  After about thirty minutes of doing this, Alex finally got too tired to think and drifted off.  After all it was 2:30 a.m.

In the morning the girls mom had decided to tell Ally.  It was a really stressful situation.  "Ally, can you come here please?" their mother asked.  Ally walked over to her.  "You know your friend Kaitlyn?" their mother asked again.

"Yes"

"Well something happened last night,"  their mother paused.  Was it to stop from crying?  "She was kidnapped last night."

"Are you serious?"  Ally asked worriedly.

"Yes.  I'm sorry."

"Mum, that happened in my dream."

Alex stopped eating her cereal at that point.  Alex tried to look as casual as possible but she could feel her eyes go wide.  She decided not to question it though since her mom would probably do all the asking for her.

"What?" Asked their mom.

"Before the man in my dream took me, he said that he already had my friend Kaitlyn."

Alex's blood ran cold.  It seemed to her that Ally's dream was closer to being real than fake.  Why had she dreamt this?  Their mother looked so shocked.  Ally looked as if it was nothing.  Alex had expected her to cry or something.  Something more than this.  Ally was just standing their, emotionless like she just heard that it was Saturday.  Like she heard something so obvious she didn't care.  Maybe she had thoughts going on in her head.  Maybe she was hiding her emotions to help their mom who clearly was saddened by this news.  "What a little sociopath," Alex thought.

There wasn't really much to do that day.  Their mom went out to do groceries.  Alex did a little homework and listened to music as well.  Something would be happening that night though.  Alex's parents had a coupon for some restaurant.  Her mom was reluctant to leave the girls home alone but her dad insisted on going.  "It's a great deal.  We can't miss this!" He had said to their mom.  When it was time for their parents to leave, their parents insisted that the girls not answer the phone or the door, NO MATTER WHAT.  The girls watched their parents leave.  They had trouble backing out of the driveway because there was some car parked on the opposite side of the street.

The girls locked the door and went back to what they were doing.  After a while they decided to make dinner.  "Mum never said anything about not using the stove, did she?"  Alex said with a grin.

"Nope, she didn't," Ally replied smirking.

Alex made her and Ally some French toast.  "Mmm this is so good!" Ally exclaimed.

"Thanks.  I used the rest of the bread though.  I'll text mom after.  They can pick some bread up on their way home."

After dinner, Alex did some more homework and Ally watched some TV.  There really wasn't much to do. After Alex was done her homework, she watched TV with her sister.  Just then the doorbell rang. "PIZZA" said the person on the other side of the door.

"What?  We never ordered pizza,"  Ally whispered.

"OK let's just go tell them they have the wrong house," Alex suggested, approaching the door.

"NO!  Don't answer it!  Mom and Dad said not to."

"Alright, fine."

"Let's go to the front window to see who it is."  The girls went to the front window and peeked out carefully.  They couldn't see the door but they'd be able to see the person leave the front door and walk down the driveway.  A couple minutes went by and no one went down the driveway.

"What's the point Ally.  They probably left before we got here."

"No, they couldn't have.  We would've seen the at least walking down the driveway and we didn't, so they're still at the front door."  The girls sat there just a bit longer until they saw the person leaving the front door.  The girls hid behind the curtains, only letting their eyes show.  It was someone dressed in all black.  Their hood was up and the girls couldn't see his face.

"He has no pizza,"  Alex whispered slowly.

"He isn't a pizza man," Ally whispered back.

The girls watched the man in black walk down the driveway to the parked car on the otherside of the road.

"That car was there when Mum and Dad left." Alex said, closing the curtains and standing up.  They heard the car start and drive away.

"Does that mean he was in his car watching the house the entire time?"

Alex didn't know.
