"Aye I want my phone call! I've been sitting in this bitch for 15 minutes" I yelled out in frustration grabbing onto the cold metal bar of my cell.

"Calm down you can make your call now" the male officer said unlocking my cell letting me out.

"About time shit!" I rudely said and walking over to the phone hanging on the wall.

I decided to call my mom first to see to if she'll come get me, but knowing her she'll probably give me a hard time. I dialed up my mom's number and I waited as the operator told me to say my first and last name.

"Derrick Galloway"

"Hello" I heard my mom say dryly like she didn't want to speak to me.

"Ma I know you pissed, but can you please come get me?"

"You know you fucked up Derrick" I could tell my mom was getting angry by the tone of her voice.

"I know ma I didn't mean to I was just, so mad and I let my anger get the best of me lord knows I love Carmen tshe my future and I want her to know and forgive me" I said starting to feel my emotions take control of my body.

"How much is your bail?" My mom asked sounding as if she didn't want to know.

"1,500" I said sighing into the phone

"Why the fuck your bond so high?" my mom asked

"I don't know, but please come get me"i said getting tired of begging my mom already.

"Alright I'll be there" my mom said before hanging up. I then made another phone call I was hoping Carmen would pick up because I wanted to tell her how I felt. Being locked up for these past 15 minutes made me realize how much I was in love with her. when I heard Carmen answer I was excited.

"I love you" I said into the phone

"I love you too Derrick but this has to stop I can't do this shit with you I'm so hurt" I could hear that she was hurting in the inside by her voice it was soft and shaky.

"Please don't leave me" I begged

"Why shouldn't I? Derrick my face is completely fucked up"

"Carmen my face fucked up to I got a busted lip and my cheek bone is a little swollen and I got scratches all on my neck" I said grimacing at the pain I felt as I touched my tender swollen cheek.

I heard carmen chuckle finding amusement in the damage she done to me.

"That's nice to know, but that's not good enough on why I shouldn't leave your bitch ass" Carmen said with an attitude.

"Carmen  I love you more than life itself I would do anything and everything to see you smile your my heart and without you it won't beat all I've i been thinking about since I been down here is how I want to get married to you next year and have a family." I felt my eyes water at the thought of still possibly losing the love of my life.

"This your last chance Derrick don't disappointment me I'm missing you already are you getting out tonight?" Carmen asked

"Yeah I'am and I can't wait till I see you"

"Your phone time is up" the male officer yelled out to me

"You got to go already?" Carmen asked sad that I had to go.

"Yeah babe I'll see you when I get out I love you"

"I love too" Carmen said before hanging up.
