-Jason-

I roamed around the building, holding onto anything I could to keep my balance up. My leg was still in pain, however, it was bearable.

Then, I heard a scream. A scream from a girl. Lexi. My heart started beating so much faster than it already was. I suddenly became petrified.

The thoughts of what he could be doing to her made me want to go puke.

Luckily, the sound seemed to have come from a door down the same hallway. So, I followed to where it had came from.

A few minutes later, I heard another scream, but this time it came from the door I was stood right next to.

"Shh" I heard a mans voice say, Connor. Then I heard a slap and a muffled voice.

I stayed quiet, because I knew if I made a noise, he would hear me and I'd have no hope of saving either of us.

I slowly and gently pulled down on the handle, which wouldn't go down completely. "Fuck" I muttered to myself. It was locked.

I heard soft whimpers coming from inside. I knew it was Lexi. I looked around the gloomy hallway for a potential weapon.

My eyes came across a small chair sitting outside one of the other doors. I broke the leg off of it to use as a weapon.

I noticed one of the nails sticking out of the chair leg. I used that to unlock the door.

Once I heard a click, notifying me that the door was unlocked, I slowly crept into the room. I stayed as quiet as I possibly could in all hopes that he wouldn't hear me.

Clothes were sprawled across the floor. I saw him, on top of Lexi. I heard her whimpers. She couldn't see me yet, I know she couldn't.

If only she knew I was in here, then she wouldn't be so scared.

Suddenly I scraped my leg against something, my wounded leg. I squinted my eyes and covered my mouth so no noises would come out. I wanted so badly to just collapse onto the floor so I wasn't putting pressure on my leg, but I couldn't.

I held the chair leg up behind my head and slowly crept over to the bed.

Lexi made contact with me and her eyes became wider. I could tell she was relieved. I held my finger up to my mouth, signifying her to not react to my presence.

I continued to creep over to the bed. Once I was behind Connor, I gently reached my hand towards him and tapped his shoulder. As soon as he began turning, I grabbed his arm and dragged him off of the bed.

I threw him to the floor and whacked him over the head with the chair leg.

"You won't get away with it, not this time" I shouted as I spat in his face.

I turned my head to look at Lexi, tears streamed down her face. Fear was plastered evidently all over her facial expression. I wanted nothing more than to take her home and show her what she deserves. However, I know I can't. I need to deal with Connor before he tries to hurt anyone else. He is over, now.

I quickly ran over and untied Lexis hands, that's all I got the chance to do, because Connor was standing in front of me, with a knife in hand. I slightly frowned as he held the knife above his head, as if he was going to drive the thing right through me. His hands started lowering, until I heard a gunshot. Then his body fell to the ground.

I looked around, confused. Then I saw Lexi, she had a gun in her hand.

Her facial expression had changed. I could still see the fear, but most of it was replaced with anger and some regret.

I knew that she wasn't going to be able to forgive herself for this, even as much as he deserved it. She was too pure, too good. That's one of the reasons why I'm so mad about her.

I cradled Lexi in my arms and kept telling her that it was going to be okay and that I'd never let anything bad happen to her, not again. I couldn't.

She didn't say a word to me. Instead, she just sat there with a blank expression on her face. She didn't even hug me back. It was as if her soul had completely just left her body.

I picked her up and walked out of the room, out of the - well, wherever we were - I noticed a few cars out of the front. I knew they were all Connors and his gangs because they all had the symbol on it, all of the gangs had different symbol which had to be placed on the cars of the members.

I laid Lexi across the backseat of the car and wrapped her in the blanket which was across the seats. She still looked extremely cold so I ran back inside to get a duvet, and the keys for the car.

Just as I was about to come back out, two men appeared in the doorway, each with a gun in hand. I quickly shot one man down with my own gun and then dived out of the way before the other man could get a shot at me.

He swung at me and I swung at him as we fought until I managed to get the chance to shoot him down, as well. Once I did, I went back to the car.

I placed the duvet over Lexi and started the car with the keys.

I then sped off and didn't bother looking back. Connor was dead, finally. Thankfully.
