Chapter 19.

-Lexi-

Knowing I was going to be with Jason made me feel happy. I know I probably wasn't going to be safe but I didn't care. I knew that Jason would keep me safe.

"But, on one condition?" He said.
"What's that?"
"You let me and Emma train you up. Make you stronger. Teach you how to defend yourself and use weapons, if it comes to that."
"Of coarse, Jason. I want to become stronger anyway" I joked.

He carried me out of the cold room and back into the one with the others in. It stunk of sweat, smoke and alcohol.

"She's staying with me" Jason said to the man that seemed to be the leader.

"By the way, his name is Kameron" Jason whispered into my ear. I nodded a 'thank you' to him. I guessed Jason forgot that he had already told me his name.

Grabbing a sheet of paper out from his jacket, Kameron started reading off of it. His eyes rolled down the piece as he was reading names of flat blocks around the city, and who was staying in each one.

Me and Jason were put in 'Remarco' which sounded familiar. Maybe I'd have heard of it before. Flats were never really my thing so I had never stayed in one before. Shawn and Emma joined us, but in a different apartment of coarse.

"None of you need to worry about the costs for rent, I've dealt with that. Just use it as a place to stay."

Keys were handed to each of the pairs, which I guessed was for the apartments.

"That shall be all for now. Go home, pack, then get to your flats as quick as possible"

I sighed with relief as I realised we could get out of here, finally.

Long car journeys were always the best, well, when you're not the one driving, that is. Luckily I couldn't drive yet so Jason would have to drive all the way while I got to sit back and relax.

During the car ride my stomach kept rumbling like an earthquake. I think Jason realised because he stopped at the next garage, which just in luck had a cafè. So we stopped for something to eat.

My order consisted of a bacon, egg and sausage panini with mayo, along with a fresh glass of orange. Jason ordered a BLT sandwich with a glass of coke.

This was basically breakfast considering it was early hours of the morning. We had been put since 10pm and I was shattered.

The walk from the car to the cafe and back have me a chance to stretch out which felt really good.

After we had both finished our dishes we headed back to the car for some more driving for Jason and sleeping for me. Thankfully we didn't have too much longer until we were there but at the same time I just wanted to stay in the car and sleep. It was so warm and oddly comfy.

Finally, we had reached our destination. Turning of the engine, I gently woke up the sleeping beauty in the passenger seat. Upon her awakening I hopped out of the car and walked around to her side. I opened her door and carefully lifted her out of the motor, carrying her to the flat.

Once we were inside, Lexi hopped into the shower. Whilst she was showering, I decided to have a sleep as I hadn't slept for the whole drive. My eyes were droopy and I most probably had massive bin bags underneath them.

"Jason" I heard my loves voice call, rising me from my slumber. "Yeah?" I responded. "I can't find any towels"
"Hold on" I replied with adeep sigh. The thought of having to get up and move around made me feel horrible.  I was far too tired.

"I'm going to sleep now, come and lay with me once you're done" I said to Lexi, wrapping the towel around her that I had finally managed to find. She beamed a beautiful smile at me and stood in front of the mirror. I exited the bathroom and went straight back to our room, and fell into a deep slumber.

"Jason come on man, wake up!" Shawn's voice shouted.
"Woah, call down, what's up?"
"We have been trying to wake you for 5 minutes straight. We're going out for dinner."

The thought of food made my stomach grumble with hunger. "What's the dress code?"
"Formal, it's a posh place"
"Alright. How long do I have?"
"An hour, tops"
I groaned, knowing that meant I wasn't able to sleep until we got back tonight.
"Alright, meet you at the car park at" I looked down at my watch. "7:15."

With that, Shawn left the apartment, leaving me and Lexi to get ready.

"I'm going to hit the shower, pick me out something to wear?" I asked her.
"Of coarse" she replied.
"Also, make our outfits matching. If this place really is posh, that means there will be rich men there. I want everybody to know you're mine."

I noticed the shade of her cheeks going redder as she blushed at my comment. I smiled in awe and headed off to the bathroom.

After I had slipped into my black tux with a red tie, i turned around to look at Lexi. She wore the most beautiful, red dress I had ever seen. Well, at least she made the dress look beautiful. It definitely complimented her style well as it hugged onto her small, petite figure.

"My lady" I said in a posh accent towards my wonderful date. I held out my arm for her to link into and we left to head to the car park. Unnoticed we still had 10 minutes left, but I was getting hot. I didn't want to start sweating in here and then not smell good.
