Hey guys!  I know this is out of order, and I did accidentally post this sometime last week, but LifesPuppet agreed I could put my chapter up to help her continue the story.  After she gets hers up, we'll go back to the normal order!!

I wiped the blood from my neck, standing on shaking knees.  Kylee had been so close to slicing open my throat and not thinking twice about it.  It didn't matter if she was being controlled by Nightmare, the idea still sent chills down my spine and made me sick.  I looked at the sticky blood on my hands, my blood, and promptly threw up at my feet.

I felt a hand on my back, rubbing along my spine comfortingly.  "Here," Caitlyn said quietly, conjuring up a bottle of water.  I took it from her and washed my mouth out, and rinsed off my hands.  I poured the rest on the back of my neck before straightening.  The city had launched into chaos, the emotions and feelings hitting me with such a force that I couldn't think straight.  Visions piled in my head, and I worked to shove them aside.  I couldn't be worried about the countless millions of lives right now, I had my own life to think about and plan for.

"What are we doing, Kit Kat?" I asked quietly, the despair in my voice obvious.  "We're out of our league."

Caitlyn didn't say anything, her own eyes sweeping New York City like mine were.  For what felt like a lifetime, we stood side-by-side and just watched.  Smoke from countless buildings and homes being set on fire rose into the air, and the screams...thousands of voices piling on top of each other, searching for any kind of salvation- it made me want to throw up all over again.

"We have to try." Caitlyn finally replied.  "We can't lose Ky, not after...." Her voice shook towards the end, and she lowered her eyes.  I felt the anguish of losing Becca run through her, combining with my own to make tears burn in my eyes.  "We have to try, for Becca's sake."

I nodded, taking a trembling breath and blinking back my tears.  There would be time for them later.

"Morgan!" A voice called, and I turned.

"Caitlyn!" Another voice, and my sister turned as well.

I only had eyes for Michelangelo as he jumped down to our rooftop with Leonardo, running toward me and wrapping me tight against him.  My arms went around his neck, and for that split-second I allowed myself to be weak.  I buried my head in his shoulder, and let my fear and agony consume me.  Mikey cradled my head in one of his three-fingered hands, and the other pressed against my back to hold me to him.  And then it was over; we pulled back and he looked me over.

"What happened? Are you hurt?  What's that on your neck?  Where is Kylee, and Nightmare?  Shell, Mo, why did I let you go off alone?-"

I put my hand over his mouth.  "We fought Nightmare and Kylee, no I'm not hurt it's just a cut, the two of them ran off not too long ago, and you didn't 'let' me, I made you accept that I was going off without you." I answered his questions in order.

"Ran off?" Leo repeated, looking over at me.  He had one hand on Caitlyn's cheek, the other holding her hand.  "Did you beat them?"

Kit Kat shook her head, bringing his focus back to her.  "No, sadly not." She said.  "Although we do know that Becca is..." She swallowed, taking a breath.  "Becca is dead."

Mikey's gaze snapped back to me.  "Shell..." He muttered.  I refused to meet his gaze, my fear quickly turning into anger.

"Don't apologize." I said.  "We need this, it's the only way we even have a chance at beating Nightmare and freeing Kylee."

"Freeing-?"  Leo began.

"Nightmare took over her mind." Caitlyn interrupted.  "We're wasting time."

Something within my sister had snapped, although what it was I couldn't be sure.  Nor did I care- there was a sense of fearlessness coursing through her now that I didn't want to stop.  What I had said was true, we needed anything we could get to use as an advantage against Nightmare.

Leo nodded slowly, as if sensing my sister's change.  "We'll split up." He decided.  "They could be anywhere in the city, and we'll find them faster if we go in pairs.  I'll call Don and Raph, tell them that if they find Kylee they are not kill her, just hold her off long enough for you two to get there and figure out what to do with Nightmare.  Sound good?"

Caitlyn and I exchanged a glance, before nodding.  Leo pulled out his Shell Cell, talking rapidly to his brothers.  Mikey squeezed my hand, and I looked at him.  "We'll figure this out, Mo." He said quietly.

I sighed, giving him a half-hearted smile.  "I hope so, Mikey." I replied.  "I really, really hope so."

Suddenly, Mikey pulled me to the ground and I heard the clatter of metal hitting the concrete rooftop.  I narrowed my eyes at the shuriken.  "Leo!" Mikey barked.  "We gotta move!"

"On it!" Leo replied.  "You and Morgan head north!"

I got to my feet just in time for Mikey to pull me in the direction Leo had ordered.  We were forcing the relatively small group of Foot Ninjas to split up if they wanted to follow us.  "You have to run, Morgan!" Mikey told me, letting go of my hand and coming to a stop.

Out of reflex, I stopped, too.  "What about you?!" I asked, watching him take out his nunchucks.

"Run!" He shouted, taking on the first two Foot that got to him.  I huffed, taking off in the opposite direction and trying to keep my hysteria to a minimum.  I pumped my arms in rhythm with my feet hitting the pavement, timing my leaps over rooftops with as much precision as I could manage.  I couldn't stop the tears from pouring down my face; my walls were crumbling behind me as I ran, and everything that had happened was finally catching up with me.  I couldn't bury it anymore.  Nightmare may be Kylee's demon, but he had began the unraveling that was now taking place inside of me.

Something caught the back of my shirt, and I went down hard.  I tried to roll to my feet, but I was pinned just as quickly, one shoulder screaming as my arm was trapped underneath me.  I felt three knives pressed into my chest, applying enough pressure that I wasn't going anywhere but not so much as to break skin.

"Don't move, little girl." The ninja's voice threatened.

"I-I'm one of you." I whimpered, turning my head away as the Foot Ninja leaned his masked face down closer to mine.  "Please..."

"No you're not." The ninja hissed back.  "You're one of them, the freaks."  He pushed down more on the knives, and I cried out as they broke my skin.  "Shh, little one.  Don't cry.  I'm doing you a favor, an easier punishment than what the Master would give you if he was the one to find you.  I'll make this quick..."

"No, please!" I tried one more time, but squirmed as he applied more pressure.  Then he was gone, the knives ripping up towards my shoulder and making deep gashes in my skin.  I hissed, immediately applying pressure on the wounds.

"Morgan!" Mikey yelled, and moments later he was helping me up.  "You need Caitlyn..."

I shook my head.  "There's not time, Mikey." I replied.  "Please tell me you have a throwing star on you."

The orange-masked turtle nodded.  "Never leave home without 'em.  Why?"

"I need you to cut the bottom of my shirt so I can stop this bleeding." I instructed.

Mikey huffed, pulling out a shuriken.  "I really liked this shirt...." He muttered, taking the hem and cutting about four inches off the bottom.  A good portion of my stomach was now showing, and I tired not to meet Mikey's eyes as he handed me the cloth, a blush creeping up my face.  I folded up the fabric, pressing it against the cuts.

"It's just not my day." I said, sighing slightly.

Mikey chuckled, taking my free hand.  "Come on, Skater Girl.  We've got demons to find!  Or, demons to find us... I vote for option one, ya know?"

I couldn't help but smirk, allowing him to pull me into a gentle jog.  "I second that." I said.  "I'm just glad I don't have a personal demon!"

Mikey glanced at me.  "Hi, my name is Michelangelo!" He teased.

And just like that, I was beginning to be put back together.
