Chapter 5: Hit

After that fight with Sandy I just sat on the couch back at the Curtis house petting D/N's head. I want to go home. I like it here and all but... I feel like Soda hates me for almost getting him fired. I also got into a fight with Sandy and ruined everything. Why wouldn't he hate me?

D/N goes off into the kitchen and I lay down. Then the door opens and Pony walks in. "Hey, Pony? Isn't there school today?" I ask. "Yea, there is but I left early" he says. "Don't tell Darry" he adds on. "I won't" I say. "Good" he lays down on the other couch. "Why are in the house? Aren't you going with one of the guys?" He sits up. "No, I'm good here" I sit up too. Pony shrugs and goes into their room.

I stare at the ceiling bored. I'm still wondering. I'm in the year 1965 yet, my phone is still set in 2017? Everything's so confusing. Maybe it won't hurt to go on my phone. I look to make sure Pony isn't around. I pull out my phone and check Wattpad. I've recently made my own story called 'The Fan Girl'.(I had no ideas).

It's about a Sodapop X Reader X Dally story. It isn't that good but it's growing slowly. I read other fan tics since I'm bored. Maybe I'll text my best friend. I text B/F/N (Best Friends Name).

Y/N: SUUUPPP
B/F/N: Where have you been? The school said you went missing!
Y/N: Would you believe me if I said I'm the Outsiders book?
B/F/N: Y/N, the outsiders is a book that takes place in 1965! It's 2017! How do you go back in time?!
Y/N: I'm in the book
B/F/N: You must be high cause the Outsiders isn't real, anyway I gotta go, bye
Y/N: Bye

I turn my phone off just in time cause Pony walked out of their room. Thank god. "I'm going out with Johnny, wanna come?" He asks. I think about it. "Uhhhhh... no, I might get some rest" I say. "Ok, I'll be back later" Pony leaves me alone.

I drift off to sleep on the couch.

~When You Wake up~

"I can't even call the cops cause you two would be thrown in a boys home so fast it would make your heads spin!" What? I heard that line before. Pony and Darry continue arguing as Soda walks over to me.

"Hey Soda" I say. He doesn't even look at me. "I'm sorry for the store, fighting, almost getting you fired thing" I say. "I don't care, I just want to tell you that you can sleep out here tonight" he says without looking at me. "But I want to sleep with you" I say. "With you telling Sandy that you slept with me sounds like... me and you... did it. I only let you sleep in the same bed cause I felt bad. And the way you said it to Sandy... your sleeping out here tonight" I don't argue with him. I'll just take whatever comes at me.

Then I hear more yelling that causes Soda to go to Pony and Darry. "Come on Pony let's get to bed" Soda says. They say the exact same lines in the book. Isn't this where Pony gets hit? Then I hear those words. Seeing Pony get hit always breaks my heart every time.

"Come on Darry!" Soda says. "I'm sick and tired of you standing up for him!" Darry yells back. "Don't you yell at him!" Pony yells back. Darry then turns around. No!

I jump up quickly and block the hit. Instead of Pony getting hit, Darry ends up hitting me instead. Causing me to fly across the room. "Ow..." I whimper. "Y/N! I'm so sorry!" Darry says. I get up quickly and run out the house. Darry, Pony, and Soda chase me outside the house but they stop. I turn around to look at them and continue running. Where? I don't know.

The reason I ran was because... well one: that's what happens in the book. And two: I want to give Soda some space... away from me.

I run past the park so I don't run into Johnny. I pass the park running to who knows where. Then as I turn a corner I bump into someone hard. I fall down.

"Doll Face?" I look up. "Dally?" I ask. "No time! Come on!" He pulls me by the hand. Then I hear something I don't want to hear. The police. I turn around and see the police chasing us. "Shit! Dally!" I say. I follow Dally around. Then we become surrounded by police. They point guns at us. I know that Dally wants to die, but I won't let that happen.

I put my hands up and Dally does the same. They hand cuff us and place us in the cars. This is fun...
