Chapter Six

The rest of lunch went by in silence at my table and I didn't want that to change. I was too busy thinking about this guy. His short dark brown hair, his piercing hazel eyes, his straight nose, and sharp cheek bones, He was the definition of perfect. Thanks to my werewolf abilities I was able to catch all of that in the few seconds we stared at each other. It was hard to believe he was my mate! I didn't want to get giddy about it because what if it’s just a crush? That we really aren't mates? I had to find a way to talk to him and not make is obvious that I’m interested in him.

By doing this, I’m going to have to start talking to the alpha himself. Aiden. I dreaded even thinking of it but if it leads me to mystery guy and then it must be done. The bell rang for 6th period and I got up to throw away my trash. I grabbed my bag, my books and stood up. On the way to the trash can, I spotted him getting up too. He smiled at whoever he was talking too. I was so distracted that I ran into someone on the way. The girl let out a loud irritating gasp before she hit the ground with a hard thud.

My books and tray were all on the floor spread out and so was the girl who I had run into.

"I'm so so so so sorry! Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I didn't see you!"

All eyes were on the sudden event. I hated attention, I really did. If I could blend in with the shadowed walls, I would.

The girl who I ran into looked up at me in anger. She had long curly black hair, baby blue eyes, and a small button nose. She was really pretty and must have been one of the popular girls, judging by the way she was glaring at me in disgust. She muttered something about having to change her shirt and got up rapidly. She quickly got her books and bag and left for the exit without looking at anyone.

I know it was my fault but there really wasn't anything on my tray aside from an empty juice carton. That being said, there shouldn’t have been anything on her clean shirt.

I shook my head in nervousness because all eyes were still on me. It was so quiet; you could hear a pin drop.

I have to get out of the cafeteria. I have to get out now. Now! Now! Now! I kept repeating this really fast while I basically ran like the roadrunner out into the courtyard.

Once I was out, I sighed in relief. I could still feel their eyes in my back. I tried to ignore it and walked to my locker, which thank god wasn't that far from the cafeteria. I got there in no time and but the combination on the dial. Having so much on my mind, I couldn't get the right numbers for the first five times. I tried again and finally got it. I grabbed my books for my next two classes, which were Art and Culinary.

I didn't get my culinary one because he said we were going to be cooking again, so I left that in my locker. For art we were going to be learning about three dimensional drawings and the history of who created it. I really never cared for art but I needed the credit. It was an easy 'A'. I would have taken choir, but my singing sucked. So I picked the next easiest thing!

I put the books in my bag, closing my locker with my hip, spinning the lock about three times, so no one could get into it.

On my way to class, I couldn't help thinking about who put the letter in my locker yesterday. Could it have been the mystery guy? If so, what was it that he was hiding from me? I hated all of the secrets that were being kept for me.
