She's silent
as the one she loves
puts his arms
around another.
Her heart shatters,
but she does not
cry out in pain
as she watches.
She swallows tears
as she turns around
and runs away
from the sight.
She screams silently,
in the middle of the night,
only seeing him
with her!
She tears her heart out,
opening a chest
and throwing it inside,
never to love again.
Her box is stained,
all the pieces dyeing
it a dark red
that will never fade.
