Chapter 9: I Had No Idea.

I couldn't believe what my eyes are showing me. My band mate, my brother ontop of my only daughter. Naked. Both of them were naked. I wanted to tackel and beat the living shit out of Jake. The only words I could make where, "Get dressed. We have to talk. Now." right at Light as she scrambled out under neath him as he covered himself with the sheet as she looked for her clothes trying really hard not to show any of her.. Private areas.. That's when I left. I couldn't handle of it anymore and someone was right on my tail.

"Jinxx calm down. They're lovers. Nothing can keep them doing what they want." Andy. Always jumping to Lights rescue.

I turned around to face him. "Jake is 28. Light is 18. Am I the only one that sees the problem?"

He remained his compsoure. "Age difference? That's your beef with Jake? When it comes to true love, age is just a number. Come on Jinxx. Even you felt the same about Sammi. For the longest time." He was right on that. She was two years younger than I was but we loved eachother. Then the memories came flooding in. First date, kiss, makeout, marrige, daugther, then divorce. Custody battle over Light. And I lost. For a long time. "Dad?" Lights monotone voice brought me back.

"Come on. My room. Without him." I said pointing at Jake who was right beside her in just a pair of sweats trying to pull a Ash move with his arm around her like it was any other day. He waved me off and kissed Light and went back to thier room. Made me sick to my stomach. Why her? Why my only child? Maybe I had more I'll never know. She followed me into my room. That's when I lost it.

"What the hell Light?! You're sixteen! I thought we had a agreement!"

"Calm the fuck down dad! You're overeacting! As usual! It was.. consential or whatever. I wanted it! And this time I'm keeping the baby! And fyi I'm seventeen!" That hit. Hard. She wanted it? Wanted to get pregnant again? The very thought made me want to puke.

"Overeacting? You think I'm overeacting?! How would your mother react to seeing you straddled by a guy you don't even know?! If you get pregnant how will you manage a life with a child? You are still a child! You can't make that decision on your own! Who's gonna help you raise it? Not me. Jake? Yeah right. He'll run off like Ash." I could see the color run from her face as I yelled at her. Then the waterworks.

"He won't run off! He even said he'll be there to help raise it! He is the father of this baby! I am not killing this baby! Get over it!" Then she spun on her heels and ran out. For like five minutes after all I could do was pace the langth of the room before someone knocked on the door. I peeked through the peep hole on the door. Jake Great. I opened the door as much as the chain luck would allow.

"Let me in Jinxx."

"Why should I?"

"So we can talk. Really talk. No yelling. Got it?" That brat. She snitched on me to Jake. I sighed and unhooked the door and let him in. "What do you want Jake? To get me to apoligize to Light? Too bad. I'm not going to. She had it comin."

"Come on Jinxx. You're better than this. I will take care of my child. I am sorry that I got her prgenant though." Sorry? Sorry's not gonna cut it this time.

"Shoulda thought of that before having sex with her. She's only seventeen. She's too young to be a mother."

"I know.. I know.. She's a lot smarter than you know dude. Like really smart. I had no idea that she was planning on keeping it. I screwed up big time." Finally. Making some progress.

"I don't know what to do with her. I thought after getting her back it would be easy. But its not.. She refuses to listen to a word I say that will overrule hers. I'm just done. I can't take her anymore." Damn. Finally caved. After all these years of fighting to get her back and I'm just done.

Jake's expression went from calm and cool to shock in seconds. Even his jaw dropped slightly. I laughed inside.

"Jinxx... She's your kid.... How can you just abandon her like that? Again. You fought for her. Be a real parent and take care of her." Oh.. You're the know it all now? Ha. Fucker doesn't know the meaning of parent. It's not like there's a mute button.

"Look. You're not a parent. You don't know what it's like to constantly battle for your decision just to have thrown out the damn window. If you want to raise a child with a child be my guest. I'm through with her."

I heard him sigh and walk out closing the door behind him. Good. I hope he takes damn good care of both of them.
