Chapter 3: Setting Everything On Fire.

~Light's p.o.v.~

Aww how cute! Jake has a crush on me! I thought to myself. And I love him too but.. Ash.. I want him so badly.. It would crush Jake's heart. And no way am I doing that. He was sitting on the bed across from me, looking down all sad. Why is he sad? He was twidling his thumbs completely bored out of his mind. Or scared.

"Light... W- would he be mad?" Aww he stuttered. I look up smiling like a idiot.

"Who Jake? Jinxx? Just tell him. I'm sure he'd understand that you have a little crush on me." He looked up this time. Worry all over his face. What's going through his head?

"Uh Light.. Its more than a little crush.. I um.. L- love you. Real love.. Not high school hook up love.. The real deal.." Holy shit. he's right. He's crazy for me. But, why me? Of all people?

"Jake.. Just tell Jinxx. I'm sure he'd understand. I- I'm not old enough to date.. Or that's what my crazy mom says... It's just.. That I don't wanna break your heart." Wow. I sound like a thirty year old. Ash is close to that age. Ugh why am I thinking about Ashley?! It's Jake time. He needs me. And, I need him. For the longest time I've had a crush on Ash. Only because the other fans did. My heart craved for Jake. And last time I checked, he was dating Ella. Whats up with that?

"I can't! He'll kill me! You're his kid!" I got up and sat next to him, he tried squirming away, I took his hand.

"Okay.. Jake calm down. We'll do it together okay? You just have to calm- ow. That's too tight hun." He was squeazing my hand so tight that I was trying to pry his fingers loose.

"Sorry.. Together? Won't he blow up on you too?"

"I doubt it. He just got me back after fifteen years. He's not a ticking time bomb."

"Okay.. Together. Now? It's late.."

I looked at him and rolled my eyes. "Really Jakey? Now is not the time for games. Let's get this over with." He nodded, woah, he got real pale real fast.. And we was a little wobbly. he's really scared about this.

~Jake's p.o.v.~

Talking to Jinxx about dating his kid... I'm dead meat.. I feel all the blood run from my face and my knees get real weak. I was using Light as support. Felt like it took forever to get to Jinxx's room. Andy answered. "What's up Light?" Wow.. Completely ignored me.

"We have to talk to Jinxx. Alone."

"What? No way. Anything that involves Jake can be said in front of me. Come on in." He waved us in. Jinxx was laying on the bed watching some show, he looked over at us when Light came into view.

She started first. "Uh Jinxx... Can we talk?"

"Of course kiddo. What about?" We sat on the other bed with Andy on the couch. Light still had a grip on my hand. Jinxx caught it.

"Hell no Pitts. You are not dating my daughter." I was crushed. I could feel tears coming up. I can't cry now. Not in front of Andy.

"But dad! You didn't even let us speak! Jake, tell him." She nuged me. I couldn't find the words.

"I.. I want to... Be with.. Light.. P- please Jinxx.." Wow more pitful even for me.

"Please Jinxx. How could you say no to this face?" She said pointing to me. Andy was shocked. I could tell by the look on his face.

He thought about it for entirnity. Then he rose, pointing a pale finger in my face, "Alright. But, if you hurt her, you're dead. Got it Pitts? And no sex till she's eighteen." Wow. That went a lot better than I thought it would...
