~Ashley's p.o.v.~
As we headed back to the bus I saw Jake and told L to go on in without me. I needed to have a few words with my so called brother.
I grabbed his shoulder and he jumped. "Dude chill. We need to have a little chit chat." I said as I pulled him away from the bus to get some privacy.
"Uh okay.. What about?" He's oblivious to the damage he's caused.
"You know exactly what about. Me and L being together. What the hell are you trying to pull?"
He's pretending to be clueless. "Why would I care about you and Light? I knocked her up. And she decided to keep it. Big deal. Just leave me alone. I've done nothing wrong." like hell. L still has nightmares.
"You're that clueless. L loved you. You used her. I'm filling that void in her heart. And yes I fell for her. I manned up and I'm going to raise that little girl like she was mine from the start. Unlike you that ran."
He managed a chuckle. "Nice speech bro. I knew she wanted to get knocked up. We both knew it. So I fucked her good that night. Before you jump down my throat again think before you speak asshole." I was stunned. And he knew it, as he walked back to the bus like he'd won a fight.
L came up behind me trying to hug me but the baby was in the middle. So turned around and hugged her side like I usually do. "I heard about what happened.. Don't let it get to you Sweetie." Her words always made my heart melt. No matter what. Sweetie is what she calls me when we're alone.. Which is hardly ever. Or it's ash or Ashley.
I sighed leaning my head onto her shoulder. "I try babe.. But today kicked my ass.. We have to get you home and off your feet before you're too pregnant to walk." I changed the subject and took her hand pulling her to the bus before she could get another word in. I wrapped my arm around her waist and lead her back to the bus.
Once we where in my bunk which I upgraded to support her, it was all sweet talk.
"He's just a jerk Sweetie, he has no feelings. But you do. You want this baby, don't you?"
I smiled placing my hand on her stomach feeling the kick. "Of course I do. Little Autumn can't wait to get out."
She winced at the kick and rubbed her stomach. "She's a fighter. Just like her dad. I can't imagine how cramped it has to be in there." She said as she laid her head on my shoulder, I couldn't help but smile as she said 'dad'.
~Lights p.o.v.~
We where cuddled up together in his bunk, still hung up on what happened earlier. He needs to give up on Jake and just be happy with me. "Sweetie, lets go do something. Keep your mind off Jake." He sighed and smiled a little. "Yeah... Sounds like fun.. But we're getting ready to hit the road again so we are stuck on the bus till our next stop." He sounded defeated. Like he'd lost a fight.
I felt my face fall and looked down at my stomach. "Ashley... At the next stop we can do whatever we want. Before and after the shows. Okay? This little girl is giving us a fresh start. A new Beginning." He smiled and swung his legs over the edge of the bunk.
"Okay. No more on Jake." He fell back words so his head was on my belly and looked at me. "At the next stop we'll do whatever's entertaining. Deal?" I smiled and took his hand in mine and he closed his around mine as I did the same. "Deal. In the meantime, what are we gonna do while stuck on this bus?"
I was playing with his hair as he he said, "Stay away from Jake. And we defiantly need a date night before the baby comes."
I smacked his arm playfully. "Haha. We had plenty of date nights. But one more can't hurt."
He smirked. Like he was trying to hold back a laugh. "I can count them on one hand. Babe come on, just one little date night? You can wear that black dress you been eyen the past two weeks."
Now I was the one smirking. "Oh alright. One date night with one black dress. And what about you, tux boy?"
"Tux? How fancy are we gettin?" He was shocked. I giggled. "I was kidding. A tux t-shirt will be just fine babe." He let out a breath. "Okay.. But don't scare me like that. We both know I don't own a tux." I nodded in agreement then the bus came to a grinding halt, sending Ashley flying. I hopped down carefully. "Ash? Baby, are you okay?"
He moaned and got up carefully. "Ow... That's gonna leave a mark.."
I looked over his face quickly, checking to make sure there where no cuts. "You're fine. Walk it off big baby. I'm five months pregnant. You'll be fine."
He gave me a hurt look. But I knew he was faking it. "You can be so mean sometimes." He said as we headed to the front of the bus where the 'safe zone' was. Just be sure that you're not standing when it comes to a grinding halt. All I can imagine was being home, with my Ashley. I hope that one day, he proposes..
This is a new beginning. Not just for me, but for Ashley and Autumn too. A new life awaits just outside this bus.
