I didn't take after my mom, Alex Morgan, and my dad, Servando Carrasco, and became a soccer star. I became a gymnast. I'm 12 years old and I'm currently training elite and when I'm 14 hopefully junior elite. I have the most important meet of my life today. This meet will determine if I can start practicing junior elite when I'm 13 and competing it when I'm 14. I'm about to do bars. I take a deep breath and walk over to the chalk bucket. I make sure my grips on my ripped up hands are on correctly. I put my right hand and then my left hand into the white powder. I make sure not to get chalk on my leotard. I salute and wait for the judges to give me the cue to start my routine. They nod, I jump, and my hands grip the bar.
**After the meet**
I just finished my meet and I did perfect! My mom is in her off season so she came to my meet. I got a perfect 10 on bars and I only competed bars because I tore my ACL. The junior elite coaches told me that I can come practice bars and a little beam, vault, and floor while my ACL heals up. They told me that I was amazing and could come onto the team even though I could only compete bars. My mom had the biggest smile after she saw my score and my routine. "I'm so proud of you!" My mom said picking me up and hugging me. "How does your knee feel?" She asked. "It kinda hurts but it's fine." I said. "I think you could be an Olympian one day." She told me. After that meet I could see myself with an Olympic gold medal hanging around my 16 year old neck. I'm only 12 but I know my dreams aren't too big. People have told me it's impossible to become an Olympian but I think they don't believe in me. My mom is a 3 time Olympic gold medalists for soccer and I want to do that in gymnastics.
