--Calista--
I tore my ACL about 2 months ago. I had surgery about a month ago and I've only been practicing bars because it takes pressure off my knee. In Elite Compulsory (mostly called Elite) meets, you have to go back to the low bar and land on your back. Also, the landing doesn't count for your score. Today I am going to practice my bar routine with a spot. We arrive at the gym and I'm really nervous. I haven't seen my team or coach in 2 months because I've been recovering from my ACL surgery. I see my coach and she walks over to me and gives me a huge hug and says, "Calista we've missed you so much! I'm glad to have you back!" I responded back, "Well for 6 months I can't even practice vault, beam, or floor. It's been 1 month so 5 more to go!" "Good luck and we all support you during your recovery!" She said. I see my team and start walking over to them but they ran over to me and gave me a huge group hug. I saw my friend, Rylie Rampone, last month because she visited me while I was at home resting and when I was in the hospital. "Calista!!!" I heard Rylie shout. She ran over to me and picked me up and gave me a huge hug. "I missed you champ!" She said. "I missed you so much too!" I say back. "How'd the surgery go?" My teammate Mia asked. "It went fine. I couldn't walk on my own without crutches until last week when I was cleared to walk with the knee brace. I was kinda scared but Rylie was there to make me feel better!" I said.
**Calista's practice**
"C'mon champ!" I heard Rylie yell. I was practicing my bar routine. It was going perfectly. Now all I had to do was land the triple back tuck dismount. "You got this! I know it hurts but you're a strong girl!" My coach told me. I let go of the bar and land the dismount. I kinda fell because it hurt my knee but I know as I recover I will get better at the dismount. My mom arrived after practice was over. "How'd practice go?" She asked. "It went great! When I did my dismount on bars I kinda fell because it hurt my knee but I know it will get better as I recover." I say. "You're right Calista. When I tore my ACL I don't think I was as strong as you are. I was also older than you when I tore mine." My mom laughed. "Let's go get something to eat!" She said
