Areum's POV

I faced the door as my father smiled at me.

"Areum! How are you?"

"Dad?"

I was about to get up when my mom blocked me.

"Areum stay away from him"

W-what?

I looked at my mom as she faced my dad.

"Jungmo, stop this, I wont allow this"

"Mom?"

I was in the middle of having deep breaths as my heart started beating loudly.

"You don't understand she is the only way to save the company."

Wait? I looked at my dad as he said that in a completely different tone. He closed the door as he faced my mom.

"I don't care if that company drops. Its my daughter that matters"

"Listen to me, we have been working hard for almost 19 years just to make this company work and I'm not letting it fall into pieces"

"Mom what's going on?"

I caressed my moms hands as she started crying.

"Areum"

I looked at my father as he used a deep voice.

"You'll be marrying, the son of the Oh group of companies."

"What?!"

In that moment my whole physical and emotional state broke down. Marriage?!

"Mom? What is this?!"

I looked at my mom as she was crying.

"I was trying to save you Areum. You dad wants you to marry someone just for the sake of the company. I'm sorry honey."

"Dad no, I won't do it!"

I faced him again.

"Why? Is it because of those criminals?! Do you like one of them? I didn't know you had the taste for animals"

I looked at him as he scoffed the attitude I never knew existed. Thid isn't him.

"Anyway, Hyena, the divorce papers are already done. I'm marrying Saejin."

In that moment my whole world fell apart as I grabbed the nearest thing that I could throw and unfortunately for him it was a vase.

"You bastard! Divorce?! What did my mother do for her to suffer huh?! Where is the dad I know that will trade everything for his family?! How the hell can you think on doing that!"

I went near him as I slapped him hard.

"I never knew you had the time to cheat, to think that you never had time for me!"

He looked at me with a dark look as he walked slowly.

"Well let's just say that the "dad" you once knew, disappeared but guess what? You can't do anything about it. What do you have? Your mother who is now wasted? You'll be marrying the son of that company whether you like it or not"

I slapped him again.

"I can't believe you, my mom, she was the most caring woman I could think of. And yet you can exchange her with a whore?! Huh what a pity. That woman doesn't know who she's marrying."

He was about to slap me but I caught it.

"Don't you dare slap me with those dirty hands. My mother never hurted me once so who are you to do so"

I questioned him which made him boil in anger. He then left my room and I ran to my mom.

"Mom, no I won't marry anyone. Mom listen to me. We can get through this. We can-"

"No, Areum I tried all the possible moves to get you away from him. But he's unstoppable. I'm so sorry honey. But I know that it won't be hard. If your marriage doesn't work after three months you can file a divorce. I can help you to escape him"

"Your husband is here"

I heard the door open as my dad smirked. I looked at my mom as she stood up while wiping her tears. I was about to follow her when she walked out the room which made me alone.

I sat on my bed as I think about the things that happened tonight. Who thought that my ones caring father turned into a devil? I just laughed at how my life is messing up. I never knew that my life is more fucked up than those if Jimin's Jungkook's and Taehyung's. Those lucky bastards. I was in the point where I was really breaking down. What did I do for me to face this problems?

Within minutes the door opened revealing a guy wearing jeans. He walked towards me with a smile. Destiny sure is playing with me.
