"Jennifer! Are your bags packed?" I heard as I was watching Hollywood's Stars. Normally I'm not interested in these type of things, but I thought I might as well get caught up on the recent drama and gossip.

"Yes, mom!" I screamed out. The stairs creak as I pull my purple luggage down into the living room.

"That's all you have? Geez!" My older sister, Brittany asks. She's probably going to bring to whole house to be honest. I'm pretty sure she's even got her bed in that large suitcase. That and a whole lot of magazines and pictures of Tyler Joseph. I don't get why she's so obsessed with him.

"Earth to Jennifer! Help me take my bags into the car, and when I say help me, I mean do all the work for me. I just got a new manicure and I obviously don't want to ruin it and waste mom's money or whatever." Brittney commands, snapping me out of my thoughts.

I sigh. There's really no point in arguing with her. Once I've loaded the car with all her bags, I head back into the house. We're going to take a plane to Los Angeles since Brittney would complain the whole way from New York to Los Angeles. There is no way I'm going to be stuck driving across the country with her, for that would be a disaster. Our flight is in about 2 hours and my parents are frantically running around the house. Last time we visited our grandma in Los Angeles, we forgot to bring a whole bunch of things: toothbrushes, Brittney's high heels, shampoo, underwear, etc. You get the gist.

"Girls, get ready! We're about to leave!" My dad yells from the top of the stairs.

"Got it dad!" Brittney and I yell back in unison.

"Are you excited for the trip?" Brittney asks. I'm surprised she's actually starting a conversation with me.

"Yeah, it's been forever since we've visited grandma."

"That's the only reason you're excited to go?! We could be seeing major celebs and all you care about is seeing grandma?"

"Uh... yeah?" I honestly don't know what to say. But then again, it's Brittney.

After a couple more minutes, mom and dad are finally ready to leave. I quickly change into a comfortable outfit consisting of sweats and a crop top.

Good luck to her

Good luck to her. That's a whole 6 hours sitting in a plane with jeans. We hop into our red convertible and drive to John F. Kennedy International Airport. The digital clock in the car ticks to 5:00 PM, an hour before our flight leaves. We rush through all of the points before arriving to the actual plane. I'm probably going to watch a couple of movies and listen to some music. After all, it's going to be a very long flight. Six hours, to be exact.

2:00 AM

"Grandma!" I scream as I hop out of the taxi and hug her.

It's been a whole 5 years since we've been in Los Angeles. It's great to be back after growing up here all my life. I grew up in this exact small home in Hollywood, California. We left after my dad got great job opportunity in New York. We just took everything and left. California is my home and I'm glad to be back. Home Sweet Home. I drift off in bed and mentally prepare myself for the first official day of my vacation tomorrow.

9:00 PM

Beep Beep Beep

I quickly shut off my alarm. Time to get ready for the day...NOT. I lay in bed for another hour before Brittney starts screaming and threatening me to get out of bed. Something like "You better get your ass out of bed or I'll eat your breakfast myself!" Oh hell nah! Grandma's food is the best and I'm not going to let ANYONE TOUCH MY FOOD. This is probably why I'm single. And I have no friends. Yup, but who needs friends and a love life when you have food?

After breakfast, Brittney goes to get ready to go to the beach. I was hoping to head to the local record shop, but mom told me that I had to go along with Brittney. I can't drive, so my parents are making me stay with Brittney for the whole day. Great. Things are going just great. Well, I might as well enjoy what I can. For the beach, I pack some sunscreen, shades, a towel, extra change of clothes, and a swim suit. I put on the closest things in range: a blue shirt and a pair of white shorts.

Once I've finished changing, I snatch my backpack, Polaroid, and shades from the top of the wooden dresser

Once I've finished changing, I snatch my backpack, Polaroid, and shades from the top of the wooden dresser. Heading down the old stairs, I see that Brittney isn't ready yet. She's probably doing her make up extra cute today just in case she sees a celebrity.

"So here's the plan: we're going to head to Venice Beach for some celebrities and then to Santa Monica Beach for the awesome pier. Just don't stay too close to me when I'm meeting a celeb and we'll be on good terms." Brittney gives me the rundown as we hop into the rental car mom and dad got.

I respond, "Got it."

Venice Beach - 12:00 PM

The car parks itself into one of the only open spots at the parking lot. Technology these days. We hop out of the car and Brittney is literally hopping with excitement, for she might meet her celebrity crush, Tyler Joseph, here. She seriously tracks him down and it's very creepy. According to his twitter, he was here about a couple minutes ago. Then, about 2.1 seconds later, a large crowd goes by chasing Tyler Joseph.

"Gotta Zayn!" Brittney runs off to follow them.

Great. Well, now I have some nice alone time. Poor Tyler. I set down my blanket in the warm sand and sit down on it. I grab out a book and get some reading done. The crowd starts running back this way and kicks sand all over my blanket and book. Yay.

A/N:
Hey guys! Sorry that chapter was really short. I promise to make the future chapters longer, but I guess this chapter was more of like a pilot episode. Well, how was it? What do you guys think will happen next? ;)
