Venice Beach
After an hour of some reading, Brittney comes back running. She's holding some type of cloth and when she comes closer I realize what it is.
"Hey Jennifer! You'll never guess what I managed to get!" She says while panting like a dog.
"Let me guess. You got a piece of Tyler Joseph's shirt?"
"Yes!"
Oh my gosh. My sister is literally mentally insane. Maybe even more than that. I'm just glad we're heading to Santa Monica Pier now. The place has so many cool rides and attractions. I'm such a tourist, sorry.
"OMG!" Brittney screams out randomly while she's driving and checking twitter at the same time. I don't think I'll be coming home alive.
"What?!" I say startled.
"JOSH DUN IS AT SANTA MONICA PIER NOW! I GET TO MEET BOTH MEMBERS IN THE SAME DAY!"
"Congrats." I say sarcastically.
That's great. At least I'll be checking out the place alone and not with my annoying fan girl of a sister.
We finally arrive at the pier and find a parking spot. I'm actually surprised that I'm alive. Brittney has been on twitter this whole drive. I hop out of the rental car and take in the whole scene. There's people screaming and the loud noise of roller coasters. There's the smell of sweets and the salt water. A perfect vacation if I say so myself.
"IM GOING TO FIND JOSH DUN!" Brittney screams and runs off.
She thinks I'm embarrassing. She should look at herself. I head over to the ticket booth. I buy a card and head to the West Coaster.
The roller coaster doesn't have as much of a line than the other rides. I hop into one of the carts and secure the bar down over my lap. As the ride starts, it heads over a couple of small hills. I can feel the wind blowing through my hair as the cart moves loudly up and down on the track. Roller coasters don't scare me as much anymore. Actually, I don't think I've ever been afraid of heights at all. I feel like no one can reach me when I'm high up and there's no way people can judge me when I'm at a high point.
I walk around and ride most of the intense rides. They were all pretty cool, I guess. I decide to take a little break, so I look for a quiet place where there's not too many people around. Yes, I know, I'm an introvert. Don't blame me for that. Blame Julia Peterson. She ruined my whole life after I had got caught TALKING to her crush. It was for a project! Damn, she was a big drama queen. She still is, actually. Julia makes sure my life sucks at school and that I have no friends. She's doing a really good job, because no one in school talks to me. Even the new kids find out about it the second they step into the schools. You know what's worse? The teachers even know and they don't do anything about it. I'm pretty sure they also make sure I don't get any social interactions. They say I must work independently on group projects. I felt like I was being kicked out by society, but I soon learned to accept what happened. Music was my escape. I'm not going to lie here, Twenty Pilots actually has some pretty decent music. Their music helps me a lot when I'm feeling alone or depressed. It's just that I'm not crazy about them.
