MIA's POV
-two weeks later-
"Mia, extend your arms further next time! Again!" I nodded as I wiped my sweaty forehead with my sleeve. I was in the dance studio, and training was difficult, to say the least.
My interests when I first auditioned in the company were acting and dancing, the company eventually chose acting as my main career, and I will have the opportunity to dance from time to time in special performances.
Since I just entered the company, no acting jobs were available. I just have to stick to dancing for the time being.
The music started again. I swayed to the beat and brought my arms up, then went sideways, extending my arms as far as I could possibly go, then I did a turn, striking a pose at the end as the music stopped.
"Good job, guys! A five-minute rest and we will move on to another song!" The dance instructor yelled and we groaned, exhausted.
Sweat trickled from my temple to my chin as I panted, I reached for my bottle of water and gulped down the contents, the cold liquid washing down my throat.
"Practice was brutal. As usual. I don't know why Maggie has to have a stick up her butt all the time." said Ji Kyung, a friend I made during training. Ji Kyung is an amazing dancer, with a body to die for. She could be a model if she wanted to.
"Shhhh!" I shushed her, while laughing quietly as I sat down on the floor. Our dance instructor, Maggie, strolled around the dance floor while making calls.
"She's gonna hear you one day, just you wait." Nari teased, grabbing her bottle as well. Nari is a chubbier girl who dreams to be a dancer one day. She is the most cheerful one in the group.
Ji Kyung just pouted. I laughed at their antics as we continued to chat.
"Hey, do you know-" There's a commotion at the door. We glanced over to see what happened. A bunch of girls had gone over and gathered at the door, blocking the view.
"What is happening? Is it lunch time?" Nari said hopefully, her eyes lighting up with hope. Ji Kyung slapped her lightly on the arm.
"No, fatty, it's only ten in the morning. Someone's here I bet." Ji Kyung pulled us up from the floor and we trudged over to see what happened.
Maggie, who was pushed and suffocated by a bunch of girls, waved her arms around and said in her boomy voice,
"GIRLS! Move away from the entrance! It is SURPRISE EVALUATION TIME!"
