-Limited Second Person P.O.V.-
You were collecting herbs on the island for medicine, when you stumbled (almost literally) across something, well, someone. You fell face first into the sand, your basket of herbs tumbling away from you, some of it spilling onto the warm sand. You groaned, sitting up, rubbing your face, your skin stinging in pain.
"Oww, who put that log there?" You asked, looking at the object of which you tripped over, your eyes opening wide.
Laying there was a man with blue hair, slicked back. He had on a light blue, long sleeved shirt with a darker blue as the sleeves. An orange cloth wrapped around his wrists and waist, the cloth around his waist came down to nearly his feet.. He had a large, purple colored scar on his forehead, stretching to either side of his nose. His pants were the same shade as his sleeves, ending in a metal boot looking shoe.
The man was larger than you, almost double in size. He had to be roughly 8 and a half, nine and a half feet. You could tell with one look that he was a demon, probably one of the ones who participates in that stupid tournament, judging by all the wounds on him. There was no way someone as big as him, would go down to just anyone.
You caught yourself staring at him for sometime, you shaking your head violently. You went to pick your herbs back up, trying to determine if you wanted to heal this mysterious man, who just happened to have found his way to where you usually worked. And to add to your dilemma, you typically didn't heal demons.
"I can't just leave him there, though. I know that he's there, and if he dies, then, I'm going to carry that karma with me." You muttered, glancing back at the unconscious man. "But, he might try to eat me like every other demon I've met."
You sighed, standing up, your eyes closed. As far as you can tell, whoever he is, is alone, so he didn't have any buddies waiting to ambush you while you weren't paying attention. But, his energy was strong, you were sure it'd make whatever demons nearby come and try to attack the both of you, rather you healed him or not.
"I might as well. I can't have him dying in my knowledge." You sighed, placing your basket down and ran off to bring the rest of your equipment back...
Days have passed since you started caring for your new patient, him still not awake. This bummed you out, as you wanted to know who he was, and why his scar on his forehead wouldn't heal. It was dark out, your fire lighting a short distance from itself, your eyes able to see the larger man. His breathing was no longer labored as it had been, and he seemed to be having less restless nightmares.
"He might be in a coma if he hasn't woken up by this point." You mumbled to yourself, stirring your pot of medicine. "Shame, too. He's not too bad looking."
You blushed at your thought. Never would you think you'd say something like that about a demon. You looked up to the sky, the cool ocean breeze cooling your warm body. Your eyes rested on him again, your eyes widening as you saw his open, him finally moving his arms, stretching.
"It's about time you woke up." You huffed lightly, stirring the pot again. "I was beginning to ponder if you needed to just be left to die."
"Sorry." He muttered, his deep voice brushing nicely against your eardrums, sending your heart fluttering. "May I ask your name?"
"Rude, I'm the one who should be asking that." You frowned, then chuckled. "Y/N Y/L/N. I'm a healer in practice."
"Y/N? That, has a nice ring to it." He smiled, then sat up. "My name is Bui. I'm a fighter under the Toguro brothers."
"Bui? Mm, I think I've heard about you. Sadly, that means I cannot continue to heal you. If your friends find you here, they'll probably end up killing me." You stated, your heart clenching in pain, wondering if his comrades really would kill you, or if they'd force you to tag along with them so you can turn into their personal healer.
"They're all dead, to my knowledge." Bui stated, rather quickly, his eyes looking to the side. "They were all eliminated by Team Urameshi."
"Th-they were? Ah that's, a relief to hear." You sighed, putting your right hand over your heart. "Now I know I won't die for helping you. Um, you don't plan on killing me once you have your strength back, are you?"
"No. Why would I do that?" He asked, cocking his head. "I don't kill simply to kill. I'd need a reason."
"You think more of a human that I thought you would, being in Team Toguro." You stated curiously, stirring your pot again, scooping some of it into your mortar and pestle. "I, think I could keep helping you, in that case. You'd take years to heal naturally."
Silence followed as you started working on creating your potent ointment, the smell of the medicine wafting through the air. You were used to the smell so it didn't bother you too much, but, Bui apparently didn't like the scent too much, as he scrunched his nose, his eyes glancing to his right side. Of course, you didn't mind the silence, as you could go days, months, even, without speaking.
"Thank you for healing me." The man muttered, your ears barely picking up his words. "You should have left me to die."
"Mm, then karma would bite me later on. If I left you where you were, demons would come and look for me, anyways. Might as well have a reason if that's the case. Besides, less demons have come looking for me since I dragged you here. Might be because of your energy strength." You stated, letting the solution in the pot sit to thicken it. "In other words, just by you being here, demons don't come looking for me, which means I can keep practicing in peace."
"You won't get much peace while I'm up now, though." He sighed, his eyes watching your figure, your own eyes closed, thinking about how you'd go about your life with having to take care of this demon.
"As long as you don't go off fighting and gaining more wounds, I'd say it's peaceful enough." You huffed, looking up to the sky, the sun setting over the horizon. "Even now, I'm at ease, even though you could theoretically kill me at any moment. Mm, well, I wouldn't say at ease, as more of I'm, at rest."
"At rest?" Bui asked, tilting his head in your direction, you nodding.
"Even if you decide to kill me, I don't exactly have regrets." You sighed, eyes glancing at the man just a ways off from you. "You'd have more regrets in killing me, as with how slow your wounds heal, you'd end up dead yourself. How karma works, I'm afraid."
"Karma, huh? You really believe in that crap?" Bui scoffed, his eyes also looking at the setting sun.
"It's how my healing powers work. I do good, my healing works faster. I do something bad, and not only does my healing suffer, but I harm instead of heal." You stated, closing your eyes. "It's always been that way. So, yeah. I do believe in it."
"Sorry, didn't mean to anger you." The large man muttered, the wind blowing gently around you both. "It's just never worked that way for me."
Silence filled the air around the two of you, the cold air seizing your frail body. You fixed the fire, the flames a blazing art piece. Your eyes would wander off to look at your company, noticing that his eyes were always on the full moon, dozing off. Of course, you were to follow suit soon after, your eyes closed, the darkness taking over your mind...
Ugh, motivation is slipping me again... and I lost my laptop, so it's back to the phone for me!
Yeah, sorry these are slow updates again, I've been trying to find my laptop charger for two weeks now, and just can't find it... :/
I'll get the chapters asked for next (the Hiei X Reader lemon first, then Chuu X Ellia), and maybe some more. *sigh* Between this and my Ace Attorney One Shots, I'm booked, so I can't keep writing my main fanfiction. So much for a lazy person... Ah well.
Anyways, I hope you guys have enjoyed this, and I'll see you lovelies in the next chapter. Bye~bye! *waves*
