S U M I
"We have to go left."
"No." I say looking down at my phone. "The GPS says we have to go to the right."
"But the map says left." Chin-Mae states. I grabbed the map from her hands and looked at the map.
"Aish Mae you got the Map upside down. You really suck at reading maps. It doesn't say go left by the way it says we have to go to the right. "
"I'm sorry I don't know where I'm going it's not my memory is perfect gosh I feel like a foreigner in Korea and I haven't lived here for that long." Chin-Mae complains with a dramatic groan.
"I haven't either!" I exclaimed.
My name is Sung Sumi and I have just moved to Korea with my sister Sung Chin-Mae. We're Korean but when I was five we moved to America. We only moved back now because mum has decided she missed Korea and here we are. I'm 17 while Mae is 16 and right this moment we're complaining about which direction to go because we were meant to check out this restaurant that was apparently the best is Seoul but we instantly got lost.
"Maybe we should ask for directions?" Chin-Mae suggested.
Chin-Mae and I have different personality. You see I'm more of the outgoing and confident type of person while she's more like the shy and quiet one.
Like when we moved to America she was so shy and scared that she literally stuck to me like glue everywhere I went she followed.
"Kaja." I mumbled throwing her map on the ground and looking down at my phone and begin to walk.
"Make another right turn here." My phone spoke I obeyed and took the turn coming up. "Now take a l-" My phone suddenly turned off.
"What the-" I tried to turn my phone on again but it wouldn't. "Dammit. My phone's flat." I groaned.
"Hey Mae could you-Mae?" I asked noticing she wasn't anywhere to be seen near and far I couldn't find her. "Mae!" I screamed loudly hoping that she can hear me but to my dismay the only people who notice were men staring at me with disgusting eyes but Ijnowing that Chin-Mae is my main priority she comes first.
She always comes first.
"Mae!" I called again but had no response. I started running turnung to a left then another left and then another left and then another left and suddenly that's when I had to stop and recap.
"Okay wait." I say stopping in my tracks. "Am I just going in a freaking circle!" I groaned which did gain a few odd stares I decided that maybe this time I will take a right.
"Mae!" I shouted. "Where are you?" I chewed the corner of my lip nervously and went to the last place I saw her.
Why didn't I do that in the first place!?
I looked left and right multiple times but she was no where in sight.
Hey! That rhymes.
Stop getting distracted!!
I shook my head and went to a nearby store which was selling clothing.
"Uhm excuse me? But have you seen a girl around 5'4 coming in here?" I asked the counter lady. "She has really pale skin and was wearing a white sweater and dark jeans?"
"Aniyo Mian." She answered shaking her head.
"Thanks anyway." I mumbled. I went to another store and asked the same question and I got the same answer.
"Urgh! Where are you!" I shouted and this really gained too many stares momentarily just for the time being before continuing doing their own things.
