Uniforms

Millies POV---
I retracted my hand, what do I say? I mean we are but it can't work i mean he won't live where I do an-
"Hey, you're gonna miss your stop."
He said gloomily
"Right." I starting walking away but I felt his eyes staring into my back and heard him slump back into the seat. I hesitate, then turn and jog back quickly
"Listen I really liked talking to you,would you like to come to dinner I feel like I owe you."
He stood up quickly,that little amber fleck in his eyes sparked again.
"Sure I'd love to!" He smiled.
GENERAL POV~~~
They ran of the train,the conductor scowling but the pair were going to fast to care
After the two slowed down and found the longs rows of chairs where they could wait.
"Hey, I didn't mean to ignore you, I'd like it if we could be friends." Millie said with a genuine smile
"I'd like that Millie,thanks." Finn blushed a little. Before either could say another word Charlie came down the walkway running
"Oh my gosh, Millie I'm so sorry!" He said all in one breath. Both kids where startled,when Millie jumped up and gave her brother a big hug, finn shifted uneasy in his seat
"Charlie,this is my friend Finn,Finn this is my brother Charlie." Charlie furrowed his eyebrows looking at the boy up and down
"Wow Millie, you're already making friends and you haven't even been to school yet!"
Millie frowned at the sound of school. She was hoping he wouldn't bring it up. She was super nervous, she had been bullied and didn't have many friends at her old school
"Well,thanks for keeping my sis safe, it was nice meeting you."
"Actually Charlie,I was thinking Finn could eat dinner with us, I mean he came all this way and made sure I arrived safely, it's the least we could do." Millie said trying not to sound like she was begging. Charlie scratched the back of his neck.
"Yeah, that should be fine, but he should probably call his parents and make sure they are both ok with it."
After clearing it with his parents they rode home in Charlie's car. It was awkwardly silent until Charlie decided to break the silence
"So milster, school starts at 8:00 and you'll have to take the train because I can't take you cause of work and mum doesn't want you riding on bus because......well..you kno-"
"Yeah I know Charlie." She said with a bitter tone. The last time she had rode the bus was in seventh grade and an awful little boy had cut of her beautiful hair. That is why it was so short. Finn was confused but he figured not to ask
"Oh and Millie you have to wear a uniform."
"A WHAT?"
