In a hospital, two nurses run tests on a newborn baby.

"How did the simulation go?" Ellie, the nurse on the floor, asks.

"Aspen's a rebellious one, definitely won't fit well into our future society; and on top of that, Aspen cares more about happiness than making the right choices."

"So Aspen chose freedom?"

"Yes," Ciety answered, "We'll have to terminate Aspen before the age of influence or we might end up with a rebellion against the government."

"Can't have a rebellion in a utopian society now can we," Ellie parroted.

"Anyways, I'm going to return Aspen. You can come and watch if you want." Ciety picked up the the newborn and walked to a room around the corner.

"Here you are ma'am," Ciety said to Aspen's mother, "all the tests check out. We'll just keep a watch on the both of you for the night and you can take Aspen home tomorrow."

Baby Aspen smiled a little while staring at the fuzzy image of the hospital ceiling panels, then fell asleep, resting in the arms of a loving mother.
