It wasn't long until we got the the rebel base. Cassian landed the shuttle on the grounds of Yavin 4. We both grabbed a few bags and we walked off. We were greeted by many people telling us how brave we were for getting the Death Star plans. I responded with a quick "It wasn't just us" as we walked through the different rooms. It took a minute for me to realize that they were mostly just talking to me because Cassian was already here, before him and Kreio came to rescue me.
Cassian and I walked through halls to find a room to put the bags we had. He then broke the silence.
"So what happened to you while you were captured there? Did they hurt you? Threaten you? Did th-"
"One question at a time, Cassian" I laughed and he gave me a little smile.
"Sorry"
"Well. Let's see. I met some weird guy named Grand Moff Tarkin, had lots of interesting interactions with stormtroopers, slept a lot, and the only time I got to leave my cell was when I got to "meet" Darth Vader and I almost choked to death because of him"
Cassian gives me a shocked look. "Did he hurt you??!"
"Does it look like I'm dying?" I asked him with a smile on my face. He gets too worried some times.
"No, but you are good at hiding your pain" he responded.
My smile went down slightly but I was relieved when we reached the room and the conversation stopped. We put down the bags and left the room.
"Oh, and by the way Mon Mothma wants to see us right away" Cassian says as we walked through a hallway.
"Thanks for the warning" I said as I gave him a slight smirk.
Cassian gave out a little laugh.
We finally reached the room where Mon Mothma was, memories flying back at me.
"Hello there Cassian and Jyn" she seemed so formal but also demanding, and we have barely started the conversation.
"We wanted to notify you two on our upcoming plans"
We both nodded at her, indicating to go on.
"Tomorrow, we will charge for the empires Death Star and destroy it."
"Destroy it? But how?" Cassian interrupted.
"By causing it to explode, simply. Our x-wing fighters will do that job and we need you two to help the others with a battle on the imperial planet Lithium. Hopefully that will distract the empire, making it easier for our fighters to attack."
Cassian and I both looked at each other and nodded.
"Sounds like a plan"
We both left the room and again, we were walking through the hallways. It was a comforting silence, one I haven't experienced in a while. He stopped as we approached a door.
"Well this is your room. It's getting late, so you should probably get some sleep. We have a big day tomorrow." Cassian tells me.
I smiled at him. He was so god damn cute. I really did love this guy.
"Oh and if you need me, my room is just down the hall."
I nodded. "Good night Cassian."
"Night Jyn."
With that he walked away and I opened the door to my room. I simply turned the lights off and walked over to my bed. I slipped myself under the covers so I could finally have a good night sleep.
