Three: Underground Bombs

Anakin's POV

We were easily crushed the imperials. They think they're so great... sure... they're target practice. I noticed Laza was acting a little weird like she sensed something. I sliced through a few more stormtroopers, I deflected rays and walked closer to Laza.

Then I sensed something odd to, a bomb. "Laza!" I yelled to my right.

"What?! I'm kinda busy!" She said then I noticed the stormtroopers numbers were getting larger, how?! They broke into the base trained troops and held our hostage! Now it's rigged with a bomb.

"You figure this all out?" I asked deflecting rays.

"The bomb?" She called.

"Yeah," I said.

"Yeah I sensed it when the battle started," she said now she right next to me.

"And how our troops our hostage?" We were now back to back because different kinds of troopers surrounded us in a circle.

"Yeah," she exhaled. How're we gonna pull this off? She said telepathically.

Jump behind them and slice them in half. I replied.

"Woooow," she said out loud.

"Well we're out of options," I pointed out.

"I know!" She exclaimed. "Just say when to go," she mumbled quietly.

I waited a few seconds and glared at the stormtroopers. "Now!" I yelled and the two o us force jumped to the outside of the circle and killed each of the troopers before they even knew what hit them.

"General! The bomb only has four minutes we've already tried to disarm it,  nothing is working," Cody told me.

"Do we have enough time to evacuate?" I asked.

"No," he shook his head.

"What're we gonna do?" Laza said.

"I'll go in and disarm the bomb," I said.

"No," Laza demanded looking at me.

"I have to, we're the only ones who would be able to and you're but going down there," I told her.

"What about Luke and Leia they can't grow up without a father," she teared up.

"Or a mother. Laza please go I'll be fine take cover just in case," I told her and kissed her.

Before she could say anything else and ran into the underground base. I sensed out the bomb and found it in command. I checked the wires and sensed that if any were cut it would automatically explode. I had one minute. I sensed the people evacuating as fast as possible but not all of them would make it.

I tried to use the force to disarm it but nothing worked 30secs.

Laza's POV

I looked in the door and yelled for Anakin as people rushed past me. "General come on!" Cody pulled my arm.

"No," I kept pulling away. Rex and Cody pulled me away from the base out of anger steam arises from my arms and began to burn their hands.

They each jumped back gripping their hands.

1sec.

I acted like I was doing behind the shields with them when I really didn't and kept running toward the base but knowing how much time I had. Then I saw the fire and the pieces base fly in the air. I tried to create a shield through the force but it wasn't quick enough.
