Malcolm & Max
I was shaken awake rather quickly and abruptly. I shot up, hand curling into a fist about to strike whoever was in my tent this late at night.
"Tallis!" I woke out of my hazy state at Roberts panicked voice. "Tallis something is wrong with Kelsey! She- she keeps crying in pain and saying she wants to push and- and there's blood." Grumbling I shot out of bed, grabbing Kendan who was still asleep.
"Go. Go get back to her now and tell her I am coming and that I said not to push." I brushed past him unmoving form, before turning back to look at him. "Now!" I snapped out watching him run back off to Kelsey.
I push Kendan higher up in my arms as I walk fast to Deltas tent. Pushing the flap open I go and set him next to Deltas sleeping form, covering him up next to her. Delta knows when I put Kendan in here without waking her up that there was an emergency. I kissed both of their foreheads before rushing back out, not expecting to run into the one person I've been trying to avoid.
He grabs my arms steadying me, even from the brief contact my heart started to beat wildly in my chest. Blowing out a breath I grab his wrist pulling him along, he must have a healer in his pack.
"I'm sorry for bumping into you, but something is going wrong and is happening with Kelsey and the baby." I stop walking and turn to him, taking in his wide blue shocked eyes, and messy curls blowing everywhere. "I need you to call your pack healer here, I only know so much within this field and were going to need help." I watched something click in his eyes at my last sentence before he had this hazy, faraway look in his eyes. They all of a sudden snapped clear, and he was the one dragging me now.
"She will get here as soon as she can." He cast a look back at me. "I will help with the baby as much as possible; but I must ask, where is our baby, Tallis?" He looked at me with so much intensity and questioning look lying beneath his crystal blue eye, my heart went wild, and my stomach started doing flips.
"Kendan's fine, he is with my sister." He raised an eyebrow but didn't have any time to respond since the medical tent came into view and sped up bypassing Licas. You could hear Kelsey from all the way out here.
Licas increased his speed keeping up beside me. Robert came storming outpacing and muttering. His hands were stressfully pulling at his hair. I brushed past him dunking my hands in a pail of water, scrubbing them, right now the person who was crying out in pain matter more than him freaking out.
Licas bumped my hip with his moving me out of the way as he started scrubbing his hands. I made my way over to Kelsey.
"Hey," I leaned in closer to her. "Kelsey I'm going to check and see what's happening okay?" I didn't get much of a response unless you count screaming out a response.
I moved down between her legs that were in makeshift stirrups, Licas was suddenly beside me.
"How far away is she?" I questioned Licas, glancing over at him before turning back to look between Kelsey's legs.
