Rein
The ceremony was beautiful, Tivon and Alana now both have a simple gold ring on their third finger on their left finger. We choose that finger for the rings because it had a blood vein that goes straight to your heart. With Alana being a Lycan though is the reason we changed the traditional silver ring for a golden band, which it turns out that when a Lycan shifts while wearing gold it molds around them as they shift, unlike any other metals.
She looked lovely as well; her eyes were bright, freckled face was adorned in a smile. She was radiant.
Alana and Tivon took off soon after the ceremony to go back to the pack, we let them go so they could celebrate how they wished.
Licas and I were just finishing tying Kendan and my own belongings to a wagon that was going to be pulled by a few guards who are going to be in the rear, using the wild horses to held them before they let them free. Kendan was glued to Licas' chest after we started the walk to their grounds. Everyone was preparing to leave, even Kelsey who had made remarkable improvements, the baby was swaddled against her as she was getting ready to leave with other mothers and pregnant women.
I was nervous to go to this new place, with all these new people. All I had ever known was this community, not necessarily this particular location, but the people and atmosphere that came with us.
I just wonder if it will be different. Will Licas change or will he stay the way he has been these past days that we've been getting close?
Sighing through my nose, I pushed it to the back of my mind; time will only tell from this point on.
"Don't let him go Licas," I warned him watching as he moved his arm around Kendan who was starting to fall asleep.
"Like I would let him fall and get on your bad side." He scoffed and shook his head, but the smile and wink he threw back at me let me know he was joking.
We walked throughout the night and well into the next day, to be completely honest I was exhausted; Licas seemed to be holding up, but he had to be tired as well. We talked sparsely, just enjoying the quietness that surrounded us, I know that I personally appreciated this time between us as our finger tips would occasionally brush against each other.
Kendan still hadn't woken from the nap he had taken when the sun had started to set as we were making it into the territory. I was all for letting his sleep schedule stay the same. I took in everything with sincere interest; trying to commit everything to memory. There was very different plant life, mainly just trees; that would have to change. This place would be breathtaking if they would have blooming blushes scattered around bringing life all around.
I was startled when a man rushed forward, stopping a few feet away from us until Licas told him to stand, he had come to take the small bag that everyone had in a group with cloths for younger children, some bread, and water.
