Prequel to Not So Scary

"Ready for another night of hell?"

"Eh, I'd rather call it "Steve Irwin Meets Robots."

You sighed, them smiled, never able to be mad at your Irwin-obsessed best guy friend. You pat his back, then sat in the swivel chair because it was your turn to check the cameras. You and Scott had been working together for a few weeks at Freddy's. By the end of the first week, you had grown used to his obsession with phones, Steve Irwin, and selfies. Seriously. He had a small, red phone on his key chain, made Steve Irwin references whenever possible, and took at least 10 selfies a day, if not more. He constantly wanted to take selfies with who ever was close enough.

"Smile!" Another selfie. "Scott, we're supposed to be working, not taking pictures," you scolded the black haired male. He let out a small apology then took his position behind you, ready to close the doors. Everything went smoothly. Until 4 AM, 2% power, Foxy just finished banging on the door. "U-Um, Scott?" "Yes, YN?" "Power's almost out..." "What time is it?" "4:11." "...Shit."

Suddenly, everything went pitch-black and a loud sound was heard. You let out a string of curse words as Freddy's eyes lit up and Toreador March started playing."Not today, Fazfuck," growled Scott as he took your hand and ran out the other door.

The two of you emerged in the main room, Chica and Bonnie on the stage in front of you. They cocked their heads, feigning confusion. But their eyes remained glassy, soulless, and empty as ever. Suddenly, you heard a screech from your left. Turning, you saw Foxy dashing towards the two of you. Scott pushed you away, just in time for himself to be tackled by the robotic fox.

After some beating with a chair, you managed to push Foxy off and dismember an arm and a leg from his already decaying body. You immediately crouched down and took Scott's bloody body in your arms. His clothes were torn, his glasses missing, and almost everything was covered in blood. "Scott, I'm gonna get you out, don't worry," you cried, knowing that was a lie. "YN, if you wanna get out alive, run for your life. Forget me. I won't make it."   You were shocked. "B-but... Scott, I love you. I'll miss you." You hugged him tightly, heard him whisper and "I love you" back, then set him down and prepared to run.

You glanced to the door leading outside. It was blocked by Foxy, struggling to stand. The other direction was Freddy, watching from the shadows. He seemed satisfied that he would have at least one victim. If I stay, it won't be long before I, too, am murdered, you thought. If I go, I can only hope that I'll make it outside. You decided to risk the fox.

You tried to run around Foxy, but his hook caught your ankle. Screaming, you held onto a table and thrashed. After a moment, you finally got unhooked. You sprinted to the door and pulled. Locked. Swearing loudly, you took a pocket knife out, opened it, then tried to cut open the lock. Luckily, it was old and rusted and broke after a bit of insistent hacking. The door opened after the lock broke, and you stumbled through into the cold night.

It was silent. The large, bright moon glared down out you from the cloudless night. The cold bit at you. The silence pressed on you. The night was unsettling, to say the least. Peering through the glass doors back inside, Scott and Freddy were nowhere to be found and Foxy had stilled, probably giving up on what little life he had.

It was now 4:47. Dazed, you shuffled to your car then drove home, never to return again.

Scott's POV, some time later

I floated around carelessly, waiting for the new night guard. I wasn't able to save the last one. It's been a while since I've seen YN... I miss her. She was so interesting. In a great way, of course. She put up with my quirks, joked with me, and never failed to make me smile...

After I bled to death, I became a ghost. Freddy didn't stuff me in time for my spirit to "connect" to the extra bear. My spirit was trapped in the pizzeria, though. I lost track of the time after three weeks. YN was never coming back. I don't blame her, though. After nearly getting a foot chopped off and watching her love bleed, I would never come back either.

After being trapped in my thoughts for a few moments, I realized I heard myself. Drifting to the office, I heard a girl shushing my message. I watched her for a while. About an hour later, she started freaking out. I remembered my Steve Irwin tactic, then went inside to calm her.
