Chapter 4

I've been staying with the family for about a year now. Kitani had disappeared, and Hachiro was taking care of me most of the time. Nobody, except for his family, knew where he went, I didn't go out to search for him, because I might as well get lost again. I walked outside breathing in the fresh air of the Village Hidden In The Leaves and walked down to the school for class. "JUST YOU WAIT IM GOING TO BE THE NEXT HOKAGE. BELIEVE IT!!!" I passed by Naruto Uzumaki, the so called Nine Tailed Fox. "SHUT UP NARUTO!!!!!" Sakura Haruno, she is known as Build-board brow. "IDIOT!" That was a new voice. I've never heard him before, he sounded familiar. "I-Itachi?" I stuttered quietly. The boy was not Itachi, he just stared at me, glaring really. "W-W-What did you say?" He asked walking up to me, looking me deep in the eye. "N-Nothing, I swear, I didn't say anything!" My ears start to twitch, showing that I was getting scared. It was my first day after all. He gripped my neck and pushed me against the wall, his friends behind him just watching. "Kuro!!!" A boy with white hair and piercings kicked the boy out of the way. "K-Kitani?" The boy took me by the shoulders and looked me deep in the eyes. "Are you okay Kuro?" Kitani asked checking my neck for any marks. "F-Fine..." I replied shakily. A couple tears fell down my cheeks as I began to tremble in his arms. "Hey, hey... it's okay. I'll protect you, don't cry." He cupped his hands against my cheeks and wiped the tears away. Everyone was watching us, staring in shock. Kitani pulled me close into his chest, keeping my head against his chest tightly, his hands, one on my waist the other caressing my hair, his mouth above my human ear breathing deeply, and his hair brushing against mine. "It's going to be okay, don't worry. I'm here, and I'll never leave.... I promise you that..." He whispers into my ear. "Hey look! Corner boy is actually talking! And who's the girl? Crybaby." I heard a low growl from Kitani. "You can't really call the new girl a crybaby, she almost got choked by Sasuke." Another person said. "C'mon Kuro, let's get to class, away from these people," He takes my arm and tugs me to class with him.
Kitani held me close to him when we were in class. "Everyone, we have a new student joining us. Kuro Yamidara. Kuro? Why don't you tell us a bit about yourself?" Iruka Sensei asked. I hid deep in Kitani's arms as everyone, even the boy whom almost choked me, turned to stare at me. "She's shy. But she has a long backstory, that she doesn't want anyone to hear." Kitani spoke for me, and pulled me closer into his arms and hugs me tighter. "Don't worry Kuro, I'll protect you, with my life." I felt safer in Kitani's arms, something told me that he was a friend to always stick with, even in the darkest times.
After class Kitani and I headed out to get some Ramen. "Go on, order, I can't eat," He sighed. "I-I can't eat either..." I whispered. "Okay then... let's go out for a walk," I put a couple dollars down for the chef, because from what I've heard his Ramen is amazing. "Thank you! Please come again!!" He called. Me and Kitani walked throughout the Leaf Village and ended up walking in the forest. We stopped when we saw three students and a teacher. "Alright you three, from what I saw today with Sasuke and that new girl, I think it's wise if we allowed them to join our group. "Hey you guys! Where've you been???" Hachiro whispered behind us. "Two new kids, and one that has stayed here for almost a year. The girl is strong, so are the other two, but the girl has three different types of chakras. I want you to find these three tomorrow, and allow them to gain entrance. Do I make myself clear?" The teacher held a serious tone with his Genin students, we too were Genin because we passed our exams before we attended school.
The day after Kitani, Hachiro and I walked to class silently and without saying a word to each other or to anyone else. "Hey, you three! Wait up!" A girl called. I turned to see Sakura Haruno running towards us, waving. "We want you guys to join our group!" My black cat ears twitched. "You guys clearly don't have a sensei so we decided to allow you guys to join our group with the best sensei of all!" She giggled. "I'm sorry, but no other Sensei is better than Shisui and Itachi... but we will join... Where do we meet?" I whispered quietly. "Just meet us by the old training center now." I nod and get my hand sign ready to teleport over to the training center. "TELEPORTATION JUTSU!" We all yelled. In a puff of smoke we made it just in time. "Hello there new recruits, I'm Kakashi Hatake, your Sensei."
