Volume 1 chapter 7 part II: {The knight's First New Year's party, New years special part 2}
Having to deal with two princes, who hardly looked the job, was a disaster waiting to happen. Sure, she wouldn't worry too much about Zen. But the constant anxiety that her former prince would do something to embarrass himself or the kingdom had weighed her down tremendously; it was a habit of her's after all. A habit she wish she could get rid of. Just thinking of the two royal families meeting each other again had already mis-directed her into plenty of different rooms, varying from size and colour. Of course, Raj and Zen would meet occasionally when the weekly, which now turned into alternate daily meetings, were held. But it was different this time. This time, it was going to be a large scale event. Which was why she was on her way to seek someone's help. Particularly one of her fellow knights who was suspiciously close to Zen.

"Ah, sorry Y/n. Zen had slept in today and all his work is piled up. If I don't help him now, he might not be finished before the party. Honestly, he needs to learn a little bit of self-discipline."
She would understand if he had slept in if he pulled an all nighter, setting up the party and all, but he had slept at his usual time. How could he sleep in? Especially on such an important day.
Mitsuhide needed to get back to work soon. Who knows what time they would finish. What if two people weren't enough? Could she.... Would she? The question that lingered in his head was written all over his face, clear as daylight. Which left her with an excruciatingly slow job.
Arranging documents was not something a high rank knight would be given the task of in a normal situation. But, there was no complaining. Whatever she was given, she was determined to do her job to the best of her abilities. After all, if she could help them even a bit, she would be more than happy to do it.
She couldn't turn down someone like Mitsuhide, who was of a higher rank, but the whole reason she went searching for him was so that he could assist her in her duties. Now that she had more work to do, it defeats the purpose of it all.
Sighing, she went back to the documents that were piled at the edge of the desk. The room that she was in was not her own room. It was Zen's study room. She had dropped by at the ballroom of the castle to see how Zen was doing with all his work. Being the worry wort that he was, Zen had insisted that he helped her with her work. But, with everything going on, and him over sleeping had caused her to decline his offer. She wouldn't want him to over work himself. As long as he was in good condition, and the party could be held, thats all the motivation she needed.
The fact that her brother was attending the party had given her more reasons to ensure that the party was a success. She hadn't seen him in years. What would he look like? Had he changed in the time she was away? The questions that were floating around in her head, that had caused her to feel slightly dizzy, had gotten her more excited that she should have been. Though no one could blame her. If there was one thing she looked forward to every year, it would be meeting her brother. But with her changing kingdoms and working for Zen, She had to limit how long she spent with her brother. Knowing Zen, he would have no problem with her leaving the castle. The real problem was Lord Haruka. Even then, he was against the idea of throwing a new years party with their neighbouring kingdom. Although he did not have the authority to cancel the agreement with Tanbarun, he was a highly respected figure around the castle. And he was also her superior, hence his opinion had a great effect on the decision. Nonetheless, Zen had carried it out in spite of his words.
With all that aside, she went back to the paperwork she had taken on unwillingly, which, to her, seemed never ending.
