Chapter 19

Tzuyu's POV

"Jungkook!" I said, a bit louder than I expected.

He didn't say anything but put his index finger on his mouth and it took me about a few seconds to realise what he was doing. Then it hit me, why was I talking to him or the more important question is why was he talking to me. I thought he hated me?

Upon realising that I forgot the fact that he hated me, I quickly went back into my shy shell, where nothing would harm me.

"Why are you talking to me?" I asked.

"Did you hear what I said earlier today or yesterday, gosh that confuses me." I don't say anything but turn away and tried to study but I knew that the plan was going to fail.

"I'm going to take that as a yes, so I'll say this..." He paused, his eyes looking up as if he was trying to find something in his brain, "I like you but now I know that you don't like me. Don't worry, I'll get rid of my feelings for you soon."

I never wanted him to stop liking me, I want him to hold me, find out what he's scared of. I started fidgeting with my hands, which were in my pockets, and I felt something.

I took the letter slightly of my pocket so that I could check what was it but Jungkook didn't want to see it. The letter itself was crumpled and had lines adorning the white envelope, the writing looked to be very formal as it was joined up. I stuffed it back into my pocket, which was what I was supposed to do but instead it suddenly came out of my hands and on to the floor, right next to where Jungkook was.

"What's this?" He questioned and picked up my letter.

After the painstakingly noise of paper being ripped and the awkward silence between us as he read the letter intensely. Why I didn't try to steal the letter from him, I don't know.

He had a couple of different look as he read the letter but by the time he was done, he looked shocked.

"You like me?" He asked, almost uncertain.

I nodded, I liked him with all my heart and love (if that's possible) but I didn't really know how to show, I wasn't the best at showing love to people including my parents.

He didn't say anything afterwards, he just kept looking back to the letter then back to me until he finally gave a gentle hug, it was more of like an awkward hug which was weird since we've already skipped some of the bases.

After giving me a hug, he intertwined his fingers with mine and put his forehead against mine. Blushing, I quickly moved away.

"Um, I'm trying to study right now so unless you want to study with me..." I drifted off from the sentence, suddenly unable to speak.

He chuckles light and I give him a gentle smile.

"But one thing though, you know that there are rules about relationships right? Are you sure this will work out?" I asked, before regretting that I spat out the sentence. It like I was directly saying to him 'Are you ready for the sudden backlash'.

He smirks, "don't worry, we'll see each other in secret. It'll be our little secret."

I nod in agreement

"So...I'm going to go now." He said.

Still unable to speak and to comprehend the situation, I nod.

"Bye! Girlfriend!" He said with a wink.

At about 6:00am, I had finished studying and I had a little amount of sleep. When my alarm did its job, I slept in. Our team didn't need to go to the lectures but if we wanted to win and not become a disappointment to your country and to society then it was expected that you would go but I could care less about society - all I needed now was sleep especially since I had just confessed to a boy who I thought hated me, held hands and was in close proximity with each other (so close that we could kiss), and now I had a boyfriend.

I sighed.

Life is roller coaster and I'm riding on this roller coaster right now.
