a/n: this chapter is so extra and jokey but feel free to take it seriously if you want haha

"There's so many articles about last night." Taeyang said, scrolling down his phone before looking up at Kaito and Woojin. As he continued to read an article on his phone, he sank into the recliner-like chair that he sat in.

"You got the most coverage, I'd say." Kaito smiled, chewing on the stick of the lollipop that he had finished a while ago. He was also unwrapping something and sticking it in the microwave. "With the whole technical difficulties thing too."

"Nah, Woojin hyung got way more coverage." Taeyang replied, looking up from his phone at Woojin, who was laying belly-up on the couch of the break room, eyes closed and arms spread out.

"That's just 'cause I did that interview. I always get this much coverage." Woojin said back, his eyes still closed as he rested. Kaito and Taeyang smiled at each other, silently laughing at their hyung's confidence - which he deserved to have, especially since the number of pre-orders for his album were skyrocketing even before the music video was released.

There was a moment of silence where the two trainees went back to their own business, Kaito punching some buttons on the microwave and Taeyang returning to reading. It was interrupted by the beeping signaling the food was ready, as well as Taeyang's sudden, "Hyung."

"Hm?"

"You talked about me during your new album interview?"

"They asked." Woojin replied simply, his eyes still closed. Kaito had turned to watch the two's conversation, smiling on the sidelines. Taeyang got up and walked a few feet to stand next to the couch, nudging Woojin in the side in attempt to wake him up.

Woojin groaned, flipping over onto his stomach and hiding his face into a pillow on the side of the couch.

"Hyung," Taeyang repeated, poking the older in the side which caused him to mumble something. The blonde boy pulled the pillow out from in between the couch and Woojin's face, lying it on top of the older's head and laying down on top of him while resting his own head on the pillow.

Woojin immediately fidgeted, in attempt to get Taeyang off of him. Kaito laughed under his breath as he sat down at the table, blowing on the newly cooked bowl of ramen in front of him.

"What'd you say about me?" Taeyang asked, shifting his weight around. Woojin mumbled something, turning his head to face the boy who laid on top of him.

"Yeah, I might've brother zoned you, I'm sorry." he apologized, Taeyang taking his phone back out casually and scrolling through it again, lying on his side so he faced towards Kaito and the other side of the room.

"Rude."

"What? Did you want me to call you my son?"

"Yes dad-"

"MMMmmmKay-" Kaito said suddenly, talking with his mouth full as he stood up, walking towards the door and closing it shut, then turning around towards the two with raised eyebrows, standing up straight. [a/n: ha see what i did there?]

"What?" Taeyang asked, genuinely confused.

"Let's keep it PG for the viewers." Kaito said, gesturing towards the empty space to his right. His statement was met with simple silence. Taeyang and Woojin glanced at each other.

"Yo, Kaito, do you know where-" a deep voice came from outside the door, a boy opening the door and looking up from the papers he was carrying. Woojin quickly pushed Taeyang away from his previous position on top of him as a voice appeared. With one glance at the two guys on the couch, he immediately stated backing out, looking back at the papers. "Oh, sorry," he said calmly, closing the door in assumption that Kaito wasn't inside. The three people in the room glanced at each other and then back at the door, for the door opened again a few seconds later.

"Kaito," the boy said, pointing forwards at the boy as he entered. "You're in here. Sorry."

"It's whatever, what's up?" Kaito asked, Taeyang slumping back down into the couch and returning to his phone as Woojin watched the two's conversation.

"Do you know where... Mr. Jeo is?" he asked, pointing at an envelope he had been carrying. Kaito squinted at it as he read the address, then shaking his head.

"Jeo Inseong or Jeo Hyungmin?" Woojin suddenly asked, standing up and walking over to the two. The sudden movement of the couch's cushions as Woojin left made Taeyang look up.

"Hyungmin," the boy said, "Do you know him?"

"Yeah, of course - do you want me to bring that to him?" Woojin offered, the boy immediately smiling in thanks as he handed the older a small stack of papers. Woojin smiled back, ready to head out the door. Before he left, the boy interrupted the older's leave.

"Hyung, sorry for messing up the program yesterday. With the whole guitar problem and all." he apologized, Woojin replying by shaking his head.

"Don't worry about it Alex. I think it got us even more of the publicity that CEO-nim wanted."

"Alright, if you say so." he shrugged, then gesturing towards the papers. "Thank you so much for taking those."

"My pleasure," Woojin quickly answered, already heading towards the door. "Get yourself some lunch."

"Alrightie..." Alex trailed off, his expression suddenly becoming cold, much like it often was. He walked over to the cabinet, opening it without a word. Kaito and Taeyang shared a slightly concerned glance.

"Y'all did good yesterday." he said somewhat quietly, his voice deep and a bit hard to understand due to the chopstick in his mouth as he nodded his head up in acknowledgement.

"Thank you!" Kaito replied cheerfully, perhaps a little too happily for Alex's current (or permanent) mood. Taeyang suddenly got a bit scared, replying less enthusiastically.

"Thanks man," he said casually, Alex turning around and nodding a little bit in response.

There was another awkward silence, Taeyang solving by letting his brain be absorbed into the small rectangular screen that he had in his pocket.

The was the sound of Alex pulling out a chair and sitting down, which didn't attract Taeyang's attention, and he only looked up after words came out of the other's mouth.

"So why was the door closed?" Alex asked, looking directly at his food rather than anyone who may be pressured to answer the question.

"Taeyang and Woojin-hyung were being weird." Kaito said, smiling to himself. Alex immediately looked up with concerned raised eyebrows, then looking towards Taeyang. Taeyang shrugged quickly in reply, looking back at his own phone. "Don't ask me, I didn't close the door."

There was another slight silence, which Taeyang was confused by so he decided to look up, only to see Kaito speaking softly to Alex, who sat next to him. Kaito glanced over, and when he made eye contact with Taeyang, he immediately stopped talking, returning towards his food. Alex was smiling a little bit, looking towards Taeyang.

The blonde tilted his head in confusion, only to be replied to with a little chuckle from the previously dead-serious boy.
