"If you're gonna fight a war, you've gotta war a uniform."
You stared at him blankly for a moment, slightly confused as you watched the way his lips moved as if they were dancing to an unknown song of which only he knew.
"A uniform?" You asked, confused as to why you needed one, where you would get one, and what exactly it would look like.
"Yes," Steve laughed. He was walking quite a way ahead by this point and you had to run to catch up with him. "We have to make sure that you're well protected."
His laugh made you smile. The way his lips curled up into a grin made you smile. Truly, everything about him made you smile. And yet, you did something entirely different to what you wanted to truly do.
"You have one in mind?"
"Yes." He nodded as he spoke.
You smiled lightly at him. "It won't conceal my power would it?"
Slowly, that same smile ran across Steve's lips. This time, it was more like a grin. "Of course not, we wouldn't want that."
He ran off ahead and you stood there like a fool for a little too long. You watched him run further and further until he was almost too far away.
He hadn't realised that you weren't following him.
