How I Got Alex Gaskarth

Chapter 5

We get to the tour bus doors just as Rian swings open the door.

"Bout time! we thought you got mauled" Rian said

"Nah found this chick sleeping in the lot. Had to wake her up." Zack explained

"Umm can I use the bathroom? need to brush my teeth. I was just asleep ya know." I say sheepishly.

"Oh yea. Right back there" Rian points to a door.

I thankfully nod and walk towards the room. I get in there and brush my teeth, fix my hair, etc. once I deem myself presentable I open the door again. As I walk out I trip over something, or someone, and fall. But I land on someone. Alex is beaming under me. Great I just made a fool of myself again!!

"Hey steph, I'm glad you made it! didn't expect you to be on the bus though!" Alex says, blushing.

"Uhh, zack said you wanted me back here. If you don't I'll his go back" I say embarrassed. Of course he didn't want me here. Dumb school girl fantasy.

"No!!! I want you here! that's not what I ment! I mean- uhh.. UGH" he stumbles on his words, growing more pink in the face with each misspoken syllable.

All I could do was smile. He smiled in return. We stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity. I took him all in. Hair done just right. Black AWG t-shirt, dark skinny jeans, a pair of checkered vans. Damn he looked good! he was looking at me too, taking me in as if I was the last drink of water in the desert. It maybe it is just my imagination.

I see him leaning closer. Looking at my lips and back at my eye. Closer closer. I lean in. Is this really happening?

"Hey it's time for sound check!!" Jack yells from the front of the bus.

Damn. So close yet so far. We snap out of the trance and he hands me my ticket and stage pass.

As they leave my phone goes off. *ding* 'if yo want you can watch from back stage, so you don't have to fight your way back :) -Alex'

Well this might be a good seat.
