A Better Date (Part 2)

"abcd"= What people are saying
I know! An unexpected chapter! Well I had a writers block for Army Strong and decided to write one of my other books and voila!! Here it is!! I hope you enjoy!!
We joked and laughed for our late-breakfast. He told me about his life and we exchanged funny stories. I was taking a drink of my crushed-blueberry smoothie type drink when he told me a story of when he first tried out a bow.
"I was drawing back the string and when I released it it flew over the target and right through the window of the school. I looked through the window to see if it injured anyone when I saw the wig of the English teacher pinned against the wall. He was crouched down in ball and rubbing his bald head." I laughed my as-butt off and the smoothie went flying from my mouth across the table. I felt my face heat up immediately and ran into the bathroom to hide my embarrassment. I looked in the mirror at my blueberry covered tank top and sighed.
'way to ruin a perfect date Mela! He'll probably never want to see you again, just when somebody likes you, you go and mess it up!' I know, weird well I talk to myself sometimes, don't judge me. No one ever really liked me, I mean sure I was a little popular but I was never the prettiest. I rested my head against the soothingly cool mirror and finally after a few minutes I fond the energy to clean my shirt and face off. At least there's no stain, it only looks like I got drenched by a water balloon. I took a few deep breathes and prepared myself. I walked out, back to our table and looked at Aaron. The mess was cleaned up and his shirt also had a wet mark which must have been from where my blueberry smoothie hit him. I felt my face slowly cool down, took another breath, and spoke.
"I'm really sorry, you made me laugh while I was drinking my smoothie and it came out of my mouth. I am so sorry so I understand why you would want to break up with me and I-" he cut me off
"Mela, I'm not gonna break up with you! That's ridiculous, actually this is a really fun and interesting date." I laughed and soon we were laughing our as-butts off. Man, I need to stop cursing; I keep forgetting that's basically illegal here. "So, shall we practice archery and help you to hopefully not seriously injure or possibly take someones head off?" I put a hand to my chest and acted hurt.
" I am the best archer ever, how dare you say that." he gave the waiter the check and we walked out the door laughing.
Once we got to the field of the track I took the bow from my back and drew back an arrow. I aimed for the bullseye and fired, immediately I closed my eyes not looking forward to see the damage I caused. I slowly opened my eyes to find that it hit the haystack behind it.
'Really, I can't even hit a freakin' target? What's wrong with me?' I sighed so much for impressing Aaron. I watched as he calmly pulled back his arrow, his body rested, not tense, and let go. It flew right to the bullseye as if there was a magnet pulling it there.
"Your turn, do you want me to help you?"
" Ok, I guess I need some help" I blushed slightly as he stood behind me, both of us in the athletic position. He took my left arm and brought it up then took my right arm and drew back the arrow. Aiming me toward the bullseye he released the arrow and it landed right on the bullseye.
A/N: P.S.
Also I will be updating shorter chapters for both books, this way maybe I'll be posting more. I don't know though. I'm trying to find the best way for me to get more chapters out to you, and to give me more time to write.
