HELLO! Sorry, I must seem, like really overactive but I'm just glad that you've made it this far.

Means a lot.

STORY TIME!

Our horses were tired, exhausted of running and obviously in need of a rest by the time that we reached Che. I was tired of laughing, my ribs hurting as I had struggled to laugh and breathe at the same time that I was riding my horse.

All in all, Talesin and I were panting by the time that we got to the mountains.

"Aster!" Kieran called from the wall and I doubled over, struggling to breathe. My ribs were throbbing in pain, making it harder to breathe not to mention that it was hard to stay upright on both my feet.

My vision went black for a minute and I could feel myself slumping down onto the ground. But just as quickly as before, my eyes snapped open to see Talesin kneeling next to me, a damp cloth across my forehead.

"I'm sorry, Az," he said, "I didn't think you'd laugh that hard." I shrugged and groaned as I shifted to sit up.

"Captain!" Catrain's cry caught us both off guard and I found myself stumbling. Tale caught me, picking me up bridal-style and the others ran down into the stables as well.

"What happened?" Everadus asked, Catrain grabbing a fan from one of the women that were walking by, ignoring their cries, and started fanning me lightly.

"There were a lot of them. I would say we were in over our heads but that's not true," I replied, moving to get out of Tale's arms when I stopped and went in reverse. "I think I'm gonna pass out," I breathed, before thinking, "Again."

They all hurried into one of the houses and set me on the bed, Talesin ordering them to get water and food, Catrain staying by my side and fanning me lightly.

"You made it back here two hours after we did. You must be exhausted," she said, her brown hair pinned up in a loose braid as she did all she could to get me to breathe. "We haven't stopped riding since she came bursting through the woods onto the main road with half of the army on her tail," Talesin replied, closing the curtains to make sure that the room was cool.

Catrain sighed and said, "That was a bold move but you know that if she gets hurt, we lose our contract with the rebels, right?"

"Did you know that she's right here?" I asked bitterly, angry at her for trying to make decisions for me...again.

Catrain had a habit of trying to act like my mother but I was getting sick and tired of it. She was our healer. She was the one that waited on the sidelines and barely fought while she darted over to where we were to help.

"Cat, you need to stop trying to act like my mother, alright?" I snapped, "I'm your captain, not your daughter. I'm Talesin's responsibility, not yours. Besides." I groaned as I turned over and buried my head in the soft pillow, mumbling into the fabric, "My mother died years ago."

Catrain swallowed and looked at Talesin before she nodded and walked out of the room, Talesin closing the door behind him as he left.

I needed some time to myself anyways, some time to rest up before I had to go handle the others.

Sorry it's a bit short. I was lacking imagination and inspiration.
