"Kristen!" Calum yells, knocking on my door.
"Come in," I answer, pulling the sheets up over my naked body. A shirtless Calum nervously walks through my door, closing it behind him.
"I think we need to talk," he stutters, taking a seat on the end of my bed. I nod and wrap the sheets around me tighter. "I'm not sure if we feel the same way about eachother. About the kiss the other day, I have no idea what I was thinking. I don't even know if I like you, I mean.. No that's not what I mean," he sighs. I smile and bite on my lip to stop myself from giggling.
"It's ok. You weren't thinking straight. There's nothing to worry about. You don't have feelings for me and I don't have feelings for you. We can just forget about it," I grin.
"Yeah, that's exactly what I was trying to say..." He says with a fake smile.
"Calum, you can tell me, ya know?" I laugh.
"No, it's fine, really," he answers and walks out the door.
I take a shower and walk down the stairs. Tonight me and Adam are going to a party, so I figure I can try and make myself look nice. I am wearing denim shorts and a white cropped top. My red hair in a bun.
"What are you all dressed up for?" Calum asks as I pass him.
"A party," I smirk and pick up an apple.
"Your going by yourself?" He laughs and walks towards me.
"Adams taking me," I answer and looke up into his eyes.
"Yeah? Well you better be careful Adam doesn't try to get you to do anything, I mean, looking as good as you do..." Calum says quietly, staring back at me.
"Calum, he's gay," I giggle, but quickly place my hand over my mouth.
"Oh," he blushes.
"Well, I should be going, I'll see you..." I pause for a minute to think.
"Tonight, be home by 10. Have fun, be careful," Calum smiles and places a kiss on my forehead. Wait what...
The whole car ride I can't stop thinking about the kiss. I mean, not just the one in the pool, but the kiss he just planted on my forehead. Does he like me? No. It was just friendly. We've always hated eachother, he can't just start liking me. I laugh at the thought of Calum having a crush on me.
"What's so funny?" Adam asks.
"Oh, I was just thinking about something I saw on tv," I lie.
"Ok," Adam says and continues driving. We pull up at the house and walk through the doors together. "I need to use the bathroom," he blushes and walks away. I sit down on a couch while I wait for Adam to return. The smell of alcohol is getting stronger and stronger. I cant bare it anymore. I walk out into the garden where I see Jay and a group of girls.
Jay is a total dick, he's been trying to get me in his bed for what seems like 50 years. I don't think he understands that I don't want him.
"Hey, Kirsty, your looking fine tonight!" Jay grins as he walks towards me. Jay has always had this obsession with me, it really creeps me out. I take a few steps back.
"It's Kristen," I snap.
"Oh yeah, of course," he says, slightly embarrassed, "How about we head upstairs?"
"No, I should probably be getting to Adam..." I stutter, not sure what is going to come next.
"Please, baby?" Jay begs and pins me against a wall.
"Jay! Get off of me!" I yell and try to wriggle my way out. He put his hand up my shirt and leaves sloppy kisses down my neck. "Let's go upstairs," he smirks and takes me by the arm.
"Hey!" Someone yells from behind us. I turned around and see Calum. I must say, I sure am glad to see him.
"Oh, hey, Calum," Jay says and stops walking, still keeping me in his grip.
"I was actually just coming to pick Kristen up, so if you don't mind, can you please hand her over," Calum says angrily. Jay pulls me into a hug, obviously trying to cause a scene.
"Get off of her!" Calum yells and shoves Jay away from me. A whimper escapes my lips and I drop to the ground at the sight in front of me.
"Cal let's go you really don't need to-" I panick but stop as Jay punches Calum in the jaw. "Jay stop!" I yell and stand in front of Calum. Jay shoves me out of the way and takes another hit at him. I don't know what to do. This is all my fault. I grab Calum's hand and force him to get up, ignoring the blood dripping from his face. I drag him through the house and sigh as he sits down in the passenger seat.
"Did he hurt you?" Calum pants.
"You're asking me? I'm not the one who was just in the middle of a blood bath," I chuckle and start the car.
"Can you even drive?" He asks, brushing his fingers through his hair.
"No," I answer. "Why did you come?" I ask.
"I didn't want you to get hurt," he says quietly.
"I'm 17, I can look after myself," I moan.
"Then why did you need me to stop Jay from doing anything to you?" He asks.
"I didn't," I snap.
