Remember how Niall said we could go anywhere? Well guess where we ended up.

The hotel.

We walked around for a while after the concert ended. Niall asked if I was hungry, which of course I was, so we went out to eat at some local bar and grill place. It wasn't that bad honestly. Niall ate so much. I was shocked. How could someone so small eat that much?! I didn't mind though. He was still cute as could be.

After we got done eating it was about quarter after 12 in the morning. We were walking back toward the arena because that's where I had parked my car earlier that day. As we walked I remembered texting Sophia before Niall and I went out. I decided to check my phone to see if I had any new messages, which I didn't. No sweat off my back though.

Niall broke my thoughts out of the blue when he spoke in a somewhat hushed tone, "Um, would you like to come back to the hotel with me? Just to like hang out?"

I looked over at him. He was looking at the ground biting his lower lip. I couldn't tell if he was nervous or not, but I led myself to think he was. I probably shouldn't have told myself he was, because getting attached to anyone that you've known for less than a day is crazy. Right?

"Of course, sounds like fun," I said smiling.

Niall looked up at me with a smile plastered across his face, which gave me another one of those weird twinges in my tummy. I think it was butterflies but I couldn't be sure. I ignored the feeling and brought myself back to reality.

"We can order more food and watch some movies if you want," Niall said as we continued to walk.

I laughed at his remark about food, "Is food all you ever think about?"

"I'd be lying if I said it wasn't. I love food!" Niall had his arms open and he yelled the last words making it echo down the street. He looked so cute, so carefree and happy. So free to the world.

Seeing Niall like this made me happy. Compared to how he was earlier when I brought up his family, he seemed so carefree. Maybe it was me getting his mind off of it. I hoped it was in all honesty, because knowing I could make him feel this way, made me feel good inside. Niall deserved to be happy.

"Just out of curiosity, how do you know this town so well?" I asked randomly. It had been too quiet for too long.

He looked straight ahead and didn't answer right away. But when he did he said, "I don't know really. They all just seem the same. Once you've been to five or so, you've been to them all."

Made sense, but I could tell it made him think. Think about it all, so I decided to get his mind off of it in that instant, "So what are we gonna order to eat?" Niall looked over at me and his eyes brightened up with the grin on his face. I knew using food would work.

Walking back to the hotel took about 15 more minutes or so. I have no idea how, but as we were walking we got on the subject of jokes. Niall ended up telling me at least 25, making himself laugh more than I did. Watching him make himself laugh like that made me smile so hard it hurt my cheeks. He was literally one of the cutest people I'd ever known.

Once we got back to the hotel, we took the elevator up, walked through the winding halls before finally getting to his room. He opened the door for us both, and he entered after me. The first thing he did was close the door to the adjacent room which I guessed was for the other boys.

"It's a good thing we have another concert here tomorrow," Niall started to say, "we actually get to spend the night in a hotel instead of that tiny ass tour bus." I could never imagine that. Being stuck on a bus for months, just didn't sound fun.
