I woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs. I picked myself up out of bed and walked to the kitchen to find Grace cooking breakfast.
"Hey sleeping beauty" she giggled.

I looked at the time to see it was already midday.

"So I was thinking that we should go and see a romantic film at the cinema or have a date at the museum or we-"
"I don't think I'm ready for a relationship" I said cutting her off.

She looked at me with a straight face for a few moments before slowly turning around to stir the bacon around the frying pan.

I left her alone in the kitchen and sat down on the sofa in the front room. Shortly after, Grace walked in a put down a plate of food in front of me.

She sat closely next to me on the sofa and we began eating our breakfast.

"Why don't you love me?" Grace asked suddenly.
"what?" I put down my fork and looked at her. She had tears streaming down her face.
"You hate me don't you! I'll never be good enough!" She cried.
"where has all this come from?" I asked confused.

"When you said that you're not ready for a relationship, you were just trying to get rid of me!" She yelled.
"woah relax! You're great and really nice but my best friend has just died so I'm not ready for a new relationship" I assured her.

"I need to be with you Dan! If I can't have you I will kill myself!" She cried. I didn't want her to harm herself so I reluctantly I replied "please don't hurt yourself. I-I'll be your boyfriend if that will stop you from hurting yourself."

She instantly stopped crying and kissed me. I don't know what came over me but I liked it and so I kissed her back.
She pulled away and smiled at me again.

"So have you ever thought of having kids?" She winked at me. I widened my eyes at her in disbelief. She just about made me become her boyfriend and now she wants my babies? Hell no.

"Just kidding" she laughed and I sighed in relief.
"So let's go into town today and you can buy me a new pair of shoes." She said and started walking to the front door.

I followed behind her reluctantly as I didn't particularly want to go shopping never mind buy her new shoes.

Once we got into the town centre, we walked around for a while looking at all the shops. She forced me to go inside many shops with her and buy her new clothes.

In one shop I actually lost her among the crowd of women gathering around a sales rack. I took this opportunity to get out of there.

I walked to Hyde Park and sat down at a bench. It was nice to be alone in the quiet park. I closed my eyes and leaned back. It was quite relaxing actually.

"Mind if I sit here?" A male voice asked. I immediately recognised the voice and opened my eyes to see if it was really him. His hair was jet black and his skin was still as pale as I remembered.
My eyes widened in shock as I realised it was really him.

"I...it can't be! Phil? Is that really you?"
