chapter one

I woke up to the sun hitting my eyes and my brother Archie yelling at me to wake up for school. I get up and throw on a thrasher hoodie, some black ripped jeans and black high top vans. I grab an apple from the table and head to Archie's car. Of course , Archie is already in the car and trying to make me hurry up, as I get in the car."So you ready for school?" I look over at Archie and roll my eyes.

-skip to when they get to school-
I go to my locker and get my books. After hearing Archie's annoying friends. "Hey" Reggie approaches me "What do you want"
I look at the smirk on his face "Dang Alissa you got hot over the summer" he licks his lips as I cringe "well thanks but I can't say the same for you" I grin I hear a bunch of "rejected" and "bro she's hot" from the football team as I walk away to meet up with Betty to give the new girl her a tour of the school.
"I usually like to start my tours with a little history and context. Riverdale High first opened its doors in 1941 and..." Veronica interrupts Betty "And hasn't been redecorated since apparently. Honestly I feel like I'm wandering through the lost epilogue of our town." Betty and I share a glance as Veronica continues "So what's the social scene like here? Any night clubs? Kevin walks in from behind us "A strip club called the Ho Zone and a tragic gay bar call the innuendo. Friday nights, football games and then tailgate parties at the Mallmart parking lot. Saturday night is movie night regardless of what's playing at the Bijou, and you better get there early, because we don't have reserved seats in Riverdale. And Sunday nights , thank God for HBO" I laugh "Veronica Lodge, Kevin Keller. Veronica's new here, Kevin is-" I introduce them to each other and of course get interrupted "-gay thank God. Let's be best friends" they shake hands "Is it true what they say about your dad?" Kevin of course asks "That he's the devil incarnate? Does everyone here know?" "Pretty much" i state "Wonderful. 10 minutes in and I'm already the Blue Jasmine of Riverdale high." Veronica and Betty walk off "What?" Kevin and I ask in unison.

Im walking with Kevin,Veronica, and Betty.
I just kinda zone out I think they were talking about Archie and Jason or something.
We get to the gym for the assembly and of course Cheryl talks about Jason and how much we mean to him and blah blah blah.. but then I see Archie and Mrs Grundy staring at each other .. it was like you could feel the sexual tension. I shrug it off and think nothing of it.

-that night-
I was sitting on my bed waiting for my best friend, Jughead Jones to come over to my house. I hear a knock on my window.. of course it's just Jughead I open the window and let him inside "Hey" I hug him "Have you finished your new song yet?" Jughead asks me.
If you didn't know yet, I sing sometimes and maybe write some songs .. I know Archie does to and I really have a passion for music and I just love writing songs (okay so like Archie and Alissa both sing and write songs in the story so yeah fun okay) "Yeah! I really like it" I smile "Well let's hear it then" he looks at me happily
I open my laptop and start playing the song (song is at the top beside the pic, song is Pretty Girl by Maggie Lindemann :) bc I love Maggie)
The song starts :

"Shut up. My dads trying to sleep and Archie will get mad because we're being loud" I giggle
"Okay fine. But pleeeeeaaaaassseeee sing it at the dance" he begs "I'll ask Cheryl hopefully she won't be a bitch and she'll let me sing" i grin
"Okay I needa go to bed so I'll see you tomorrow" I hug him and he leaves

-next day-

So apparently Betty and Veronica made the cheerleading squad and Archie is playing Varsity football.

-lunch-

I've already showed Kevin , Veronica , and Betty my new song and they love it too.

None other than Cheryl Blossom walks over to our table "So welcome to the cheerleading squad Betty , Veronica. We have a pep rally coming up soon so you need to practice. A lot" Cheryl harshly remarks
"Is cheerleading still a thing?" Kevin asks as I laugh uncontrollably
"Oh shit" I yell
"Is being the gay best friend still a thing?" Cheryl fires back
