Chapter Seventeen: The Return Of A Legend

Hano Grand Resort is quite nice, too bad I don't get any time to admire it, Miracle really wants to leave Akala Island.

And go to a place filled with murderers!

We walk into the hotel, we are greeted by green Aether man.

His name is Faba and the wondrous place he wants to show us is called Aether Paradise.

"Aether Paradise is a safe place for Pokémon that floats far out in the sea. I keep my promises; I want to offer you a tour of Aether Paradise. How does that sound?"

Miracle shrugs, "Uhh, good I guess."

Faba smiles, "Just the answer I wanted to hear."

Run, Miracle, run!

The door opens behind us, "Wait, Wait! Take me too!" Hau says, dashing in along with Kukui and Olivia.

Hau asks Kukui if he will join us, but he says he has some work to attend to and that he'll meet us on the next island, Ula' Ula island, where we should meet up at Malie garden.

Take us with you.
Please.

Aether Paradise really is an artificial island! 
It's amazing!
It's all so clean and white!

Wait!
I'm falling into their trap!

As Faba explains Aether Paradise to Hau and Miracle, we all watch Tiko have the time of his life, "Woo! I've never flown in a place so clean!" He takes a deep breath, "Ah! Just smell that air! I love the way it glides over my feathers."

Tula jumps up, "C'mon Tiko! We're going to see the conservation area. You don't want to be left behind do you?"

Tula and Tiko run over to the elevator and start jumping up and down.

"They're gonna break that thing," Nightshade says.

I scoff, "Yeah, but it won't be our fault."

A nice lady named Wicke was
ordered by Faba to show us around.

I really like her!
She's so sweet.
She doesn't seem like she's working on some evil plan.

The conservation area is filled with grass, water, and Pokémon, Rotoms having a field day taking pictures of all the Pokémon.

But, his taking photos of all the Pokemon will have to wait.

We have to find the President.
Wicke said she should be here.

As Miracle is looking for her I notice a very familiar looking Pikachu and Rockruff playing in the water.

"Peaches, Larry? Is that you?" I say looking over the railing.

Peaches yips at me and happily licks my face while Larry just winks at me like he's having an eye seizure.

"Where's Chase?" I ask

"Chase is with the president," Peaches answers, "And Larry is our newest team member!"

My eyes widen, "Really?"

"Yeah! Chase and I found him in the sea one night, he's was being chased down by an school of Wishiwashi and got injured, so we brought him here and now he's a part of our family!"

I smile, "Not even Larry could out smart a school of fish."

Larry flips his hair, "If I showed them my true beauty, they would have all died that would be too harsh don't you think?"

He gets out of the pool and shakes his fur, "Peaches, I'm sure Miracle and Hau have found the president by now, let's go meet up with them." He leads us to a woman who looks a lot like Lillie.

Strange.

"This is President Lusamime!" Peaches says happily.

Chase runs over to us, "Hello Lusamine! How was your day?"

Lusamine smiles sweetly at him, "It was fine."

Chase smiles and runs off, taking Peaches with him.

He seems a lot happier than the first time we met him on Melemele.
Lusamine sure does like to talk about love and how she'll give it to all of the Pokémon no matter how far.

It's a bit extreme.
Remember E.V.I.L.
She fits that perfectly.

"Wow, Miss Lusamine!" Hau says, looking around in awe, "I don't know how you do all this. You're not even that much older than us!"

Lusamime chuckles, "You sweet boy! I'm already over 40."

"You are?" Hau says with an oblivious smile.

Lusamine stares at him blankly.

"Wait, WHAT! You are!" He exclaims.
Lusamine chuckles again, "The right style does you wonders, you know. Hmm, Your style is a bit wanting."

Huh?
What does that mean?
What does that have to do with anything?

"I'll have to take you out sometime and help you pick out a smashing outfit."

Hau shakes his head, "Not like what you wear. I don't think anyone could pull off that look, well, maybe Lillie could."

Lusamine gives us a strange look.
One of slight disgust.

"Don't you worry. Just leave everything up to me. Children would be better off if they listened to the adults around them."

Miracle coughs, "Yeah, Not my mother, if I listened to everything she said I would have died of boredom by now. But I guess she only wants the best for me."

Lusamine nods, "Exactly."

The ground below us shakes and a portal opens in the sky, from it a jellyfish like creature emerges.
Who better to fight it than....Larry.
"I've got this." he says standing in front of me.

I roll my eyes, "I can protect myself you know."

He covers my mouth with his tail at me, "Shhh, act like you're scared." He whispers, "I need to be a hero."

I swat his tail away, "You can do that some other day."

The creature is surrounded in a glowing, red aura, similar to that of the Totem Pokémon.

Larry backs off and hides behind me, "I'm feeling a little sick. You deal with it."

I groan, "Seriously?"

Before I can move Tiko zooms past me and hits it, no hesitation.

Doing that is going to get him killed one day.

After the creature is defeated, it disappears.

"It's true," Lusamine whispers, "I still need that Pokémon."

She smiles, but it's not a sweet smile.
It's a cynical one.

Whelp. Never before have I seen a more obvious villain.
Too bad Miracle is oblivious.
How long until we come back here 'cause Lusamine did something?

"That was undoubtedly an Ultra Beast. They come from another world and travel to others using Ultra Wormholes. It looked like it was in pain. I can't bear to see that happen. I will save it and I will love it!"

Miracle looks at her worriedly, "Are you alright?"

Her sweet smile returns, "I'm fine! Don't worry about me."

Lusamine asks Wicke to send us to the next island.

She even gives Hau some malasadas and gives Miracle the TM for Psychic.
Now, it's off to Ula' Ula along with some malasadas.
