'You?'

Ella seemed a bit puzzled by his choice of words, but she didn't ponder about it for too long. She had just received a scholarship from Mr Victor Wolfe himself.
Just then, she heard a voice echo throughout the room.
"High school visitor, Ella Avery, has strayed from the group. If anyone in the company sees her, please buzz in." The female voice over the intercom spoke.
"You sound like a criminal on the run." Mr Wolfe said.
Ella gave a soft chuckle.
Ding!
The elevator door opened.
"Ella..." The voice of Jace whispered in the mini lobby that stood right before Mr Wolfe's office.
"Dude, she's not here anymore. Let's go." A nervous Vince replied.
"We have to find her, I'd kill myself if she got into trouble because of my dumb game." Jace said.
Mr Wolfe walked towards the mini lobby. Ella whipped out her phone to try and warn them, but it was too late.
"Come on man, let's go into the office." Jace said.
Mr Wolfe walked closer.
"J-Jace..." A horrified Vince called out.
"I'm not listening to you, man. I'm going to in." Jace said and turned around, only to bump right into Mr Victor Wolfe.
"Go into my office?" He asked with a look that could kill.
Jace was frightened beyond comprehension and took a step back.
"I had no idea it was your office, sir. I was l-looking for my friend." He answered, trying incredibly hard to hide his fear.
"Ella Avery is here. You may leave before you get into trouble for trespassing." Mr Wolfe coldly stated.
"Sir, please don't punish her. She's innocent and I know she wouldn't be able to handle confrontation very well." Jace pleaded despite the churning feeling in his stomach.
"You seem to know her quite well. What are you intentions with her? A friend? Study partner? Boyfriend?" Mr Wolfe asked.
Jace, along with Vince, were bewildered by his array of questions.
"Ella is a remarkable girl. Intelligent, beautiful and pure. I was the one who suggested we check out the top floor. She was incredibly hesitant to do it, but I pushed and pushed until she said yes." Jace confessed.
"I was game too." Vince piped in from the back. Mr Wolfe shot him a glare that caused him to abruptly turn his head away with a nervous squeak.
"All I'm saying, sir, is that if anyone should be punished, it's me. Not Ella." He ended with the utmost sincerity.
"Are you trying to turn her into a delinquent? You should not push someone innocent to do something that they're not comfortable with!" Mr Wolfe viscously exclaimed.
