❇❇NERVES❇❇❇

"Don't be nervous." Ella Avery whispered to herself in the small, cracked mirror of the orphanage bathroom. Getting chosen to go to the city and visit the highly prestigious company, Wolfe Enterprises, was incredibly nerve-racking to her.

"Ella, get out of there! It's my turn!" A voice yelled from the other side of the door.

Ella shook her thoughts and continued to her room. It wasn't much of a room, it was barely her room. She shared it with three other girls so finding solitude was incredibly difficult.

Once there, she loosened her long, curly, brown locks from its bun and shook her head around to make it look voluminous.

The orphanage was incredibly busy in the morning. The children scurried like ants trying to get ready, Ella on the other hand, was always calm. School wasn't a big worry for her. She'd constantly plan beforehand to ensure she'd be ready.

"Ella, are you all packed?" She heard a gentle voice ask behind her- It was Mrs Valour, one of the social workers.

"Yes, ma'am." Ella replied with a small smile.

"Somebody seems nervous." Mrs Valour teased.

"A little."

"Don't be, you've worked hard for this."

The soothing words of Mrs Valour caused the glimmer to return in Ella's eyes. She just wished her parents could've seen her. Unlike a real orphan, Ella still had her parents. They were just horribly unfit to raise her.

Shaking her wallowing thoughts, she grabbed her duffle bag and continued out the front door to school.

"Ella Avery, Jane Barker, Jace Somerhald, Poppy McMillan and Vince Callaway- the Uber is here to take us to the airport." Her teacher, Mr James called out.

Those five pupils were top of the class, Ella came a lucky forth.

She felt the knot in her stomach tighten, she had never flown in a plane before. What if it crashes? Harrowed by her thoughts she decided to listen to some music. Beethoven always seemed to calm her down.

After an hour of driving, they finally reached the airport. She watched as many people were dashing around, standing in long ques, checking their watches and getting searched.

"You look queazy." She heard the deep voice of Jace Somerhald state.

"It's my first time flying." She answered followed by a nervous chuckle.

"Don't be. I fly to Spain every school break and nothing bad has ever happened. Well, there's turbulence but it's not too bad."

"You fly to Spain?"

"Yes, to visit family."

Ella has never noticed how cute Jace was until now. Green eyes with light brown locks and an intellectual. She was completely smitten.

"So you have the blood of a Spaniard in you?"

"Yes-" he chuckled, "From my mom's side."
