~Ian Imagine~ This Is It~

This is it, this is fucking it, we are finally gunna have a family, you thought as you saw the unborn baby that resides in your stomach on the monitor. You had been told by many a doctor that there was a very slim chance of you having a baby.

You and Ian had been together for about 7 years, you had gotten married and had moved away from Chicago, not because you didn't like it, you just had to move because of your job so now you live in Michigan, so you wasn't exactly worlds away from home and you went back for holidays and special occasions. Since moving you and Ian had rented a house and Ian had decided to go back to school to become a doctor and you couldn't be prouder, so it was around this time you both decided to have a baby, that was 3 years ago and you had had to go through so much, miscarriages, phantom pregnancies and each time it happened it broke you a little inside, but today was different.

In the past when you had been pregnant around the 1 month mark you would miscarry and this had happened 3 times, so when you found out you where pregnant again you and Ian had decided to not tell anyone just incase something went wrong again, but looking at the screen at the baby growing inside of you made you so happy. This time you had made it to your second trimester 14 weeks into the pregnancy and feeling pretty confident that this baby was going to develop and grow to be strong and healthy. "So are you ready to find out the sex?" The midwife said very enthusiastically, you nodded and sighed wishing Ian was here with you, but he had a class and you insisted that he went to school and you would update him as soon as possible.

"Well.... It seems Mrs Gallagher that you are having a healthy beautiful baby girl"

As soon as the words left her mouth you immediately felt proud and a tear formed in your eye. This is it, you where finally going to have a little baby to call your own.

After the appointment you got in the car and drove home, you where now sat at the dinner table with a cup of tea and the scan photo in front of you, just admiring it. You looked over at your phone and checked the time, 3:15pm, Ian would be out of class by now, you decided to call him and tell him the good news. You got up his contact and pressed the green call icon, you swooned at the photo again as the phone rang.

"Hello baby cakes"

"Hi sweetie, I got some news for you"

"Okay babe but make it quick I gotta go and get a present for little Liam for when we go back for thanksgiving"

"Well... Ya know how Im pregnant and all..." you said teasingly.

"Yeah?" Ian replied sounding a little concerned.

"Well, we don't have to call the bump popcorn anymore since we are having a strong and healthy baby girl, we can give her a real name" you practically squealed down the phone at him. His side was quiet for a few seconds, "Ian? You okay?"

"This is it, we are finally gunna have a baby, my baby... our baby"

"Yeah sweetie, go get Liam's present and hurry home so we can talk more okay, I love you"

"Okay, I love you too"

                       •TIME SKIP•

Ian came home as soon as he could and cuddled up to you on the sofa after giving you a big sloppy kiss, "So what are we gunna call little popcorn then?" You asked looking down at the bump that had formed over the past 14 weeks. "Humm... What about Poppy? Ya know since we called her popcorn". You smiled wildly at the name, "Yeah Im thinking Poppy Elizabeth Gallagher" you spoke looking up at Ian, he chuckled before saying "I love it, Poppy Elizabeth Gallagher, rolls off the tongue nicely, sound like she is gunna go paces" you nodded in agreement.

"So when are we gunna tell everyone?" You asked Ian looking back at your tummy in awe. "How about when we go back to Chicago for thanksgiving in a few weeks?" He suggested, "yeah sounds like a plan, batman" you said before nuzzling into Ian's chest and watching a movie together.
