Mourning and sobbing all that week, nobody was happy about what happened. Except for Ron, he had wanted her dead foe many years now, but he doesn't matter anymore. He's gone too now, but nobody ever cared about him. Kylee never cared, nor her mom, nobody. Mark never knew about him, Kylee never told Mark about him. She didn't want to share her pain, and she wasn't really comfortable talking to him in the moment.
A couple days after her death, nobody really thought about how she really passed away. How did her heart just stop? Nobody had a clue. News reporters had been banging on her mothers door all week, they also somehow found Mark at school. They had interviewed him about what he thought about her, to see if he knew anything.
The interview
"Welcome everyone to Jays Talk Show. We have a fairly interesting topic today, the mysterious death of Kylee Marshall. We have a good friend of hers here today, Mark Winston. Mark we have some questions for you today, please answer them as best as you can. You all set?" The reporter crosses his legs and fold his hands in his lap, waiting for Mark to respond.
"Yes, I am ready." Mark is really nervous. He is remembering the first day he stepped onto the bus for school, the first time he had talked to her. It's all coming back, making him feel queasy.
"First question, how did you know Kylee?"
"I am Kylee's friend from school," he says while trying to figure out what to say next. "I saw her on the bus and I sat next to her, she seemed nice and we started talking. We were both really nervous, it was kind of awkward actually."
"So You didn't know her before the bus ride at all?"
"No sir, that was the first time I've ever seen her." Mark tries to loosen up, he is really nervous and he needs to calm down.
"Tell us more about the day she went home early." The reporter leans forward, intrigued by whatever Mark has to say next.
"She had asked to go to the bathroom in the middle of English class, I thought she was just going there to..ya know...go to the bathroom. Soon after another girl had left to use the restroom ands she quickly came back saying that Kylee was on the ground screaming. I was immediately worried for her, the teacher went to get the principal. We were instructed to stay in our seats and work on the assignment given, which I did. I couldn't tell you what happened after that except she came back into the room to get her stuff and left." Mark wipes his eyes, to avoid the tears from rolling down his face.
"Thank you Mark, that's all the time we have for today. Maybe you could come back another time," He said. Mark looked scared by that comment, and the reporter noticed. "I'm just kidding, kid. Thanks for being here." He nudges marks shoulder and ends the session.
