Kylee keeps following the road in the woods. No cars have passed by yet, its mostly silent. The trees sway back and fourth in the wind, making that calming rustling noise. Her feet make the clapping noise when they slam the pavement. Clip, clap, clip, clap, she doesn't care where she is running she just keeps going. Kylee looks at the trees, she notices how they are swaying ever so slightly. The next thing she remembers is looking forward seeing a car heading straight towards her, then black.
"She's cold, barely a pulse." A woman's voice states.
"Does she have and identification on her?" A faint voice says, it almost sounds like static.
"On her clothes, it has a name tag. Her name is Kylee Mars--."
"Ma'am? You there?" The static voice sounds concerned.
"It's my daughter," the woman drops the phone on the ground. "Kylee! Are you okay sweetie?"
Kylee sits up and holds her leg, a sharp pain is coming from it. Her hands feel wet and warm, blood. She shivers at the sight of blood, "Where am I?" She asks while tending to her leg. "Who are you?"
"Columbus, Ohio my dear." The woman answers. She notices Kylee tending her leg, and tries to help her. "My name is Katrina Marshall I'm the one who accidentally hit you with my car. I'm so sorry, you don't recognize me?" She wipes the sweat from her forehead and picks up her phone. "Yes, I'm still here..." Kylee doesn't hear the rest, she is still trying to figure out what just happened.
"Who am I?" Kylee asks Katrina. "Wh-what, where's my mom?" Kylee tries to stand but she trembles back onto the ground.
"You don't know your name?" Katrina asks, Kylee just shakes her head in confusion, "your name is Kylee Marshall. I am your mother, also have no clue where you came from." Katrina sounds concerned for Kylee's well-being. "The police will be here soon with an ambulance, you will be okay."
Kylee repeats her name over and over, it doesn't sound remotely familiar to her. "Kylee Marshall, Kylee, Kylee Marshall. Why don't I remember? Wait, your my mom? Why isn't I remember my own mother!" Her leg keeps bleeding out, she's sitting in the middle of the road feeling helpless. She tilts her head to the right to see a black car, to the left is a ditch with a bunch of trees in the background.
Sirens are coming, the noise getting louder and louder the closer it gets. Kylee welps in pain in the middle of the street, grasping her leg. She takes a daring look at it, the blood gushing out, the glass shard sticking out of her leg makes her look away. She takes a look at her mom, "I don't remember her at all," Kylee sees a police car drive up and she plops helplessly on the ground. "Why can't I remember!" She screams.
