"Where am I?" Kylee asks while laying in a bed that isn't her own.
"Honey, you passed out at Dr. Thomas' office. You are in a hospital." Her mom responds.
"Ron again?" Kylee asks sounding concerned.
"I'm not sure this time."
It was me, by the way. Woah did you seriously think I wasn't a part of this? Are you that stupid, maybe your mom should have killed you when you offered.
"Oh," Kylee sighs "whatever then." She lays down on the firm, cold bed and looks at the ceiling. She eventually dozed off and slept for a good two hours.
The nurse came an knocked on the door which woke Kylee up, "Sorry to wake you but you have a visiter." Kylee sits up wondering who it could possibly be. Mark walks into the room with some flowers and a worried smile on his face.
"Hey, heard at school yesterday you were here. Thought I would stop by." He says while sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Thanks, I didn't know that anyone at school knew." She looked worried while saying that, she didn't want to eventually go back to school and have attention drawn to her.
"Yeah, all we know is that you left school, something happened and now you're here," He gives a sigh of relief "at least you are partially okay."
"Thanks for coming, I needed someone to talk to." She smiles.
Um, hello I can talk to you to ya know. Wow I feel so unappreciated right now, I thought we were friends.
Kylee grabs her arm and looks down, Mark notices how uncomfortable she looks. He scoots closer to her, "Kylee I can help you, I can listen if you just want to get something out. I know you may not want to do that at this very second, but I'm offering." He smiles, not a fake smile, a real smile.
"Thank you but nobody can help me. I've been trying to get help for years and my condition is getting worse. You can listen all you want, nothing will make sense. My mom already tried to put me into an institution, because apparently I'm going crazy." She looks sincerely into his eyes, a worried look but tries to look fine.
Way to go, invite someone in. What a great way to be made fun of.
"Well I will listen to you. I don't care what it is, I'm here for you." He holds her hand, she accepts this and they sit in silence for a minute.
Say something idiot.
She lets go of his hands and holds her head in pain. "Is everything okay?" He asks.
Don't tell him, embrace the pain. Hold it in, let it slowly kill you.
"Everything is fine," Kylee smiles. "Thanks again for coming to visit, I will see you at school sometime."
"Okay, cool. I'll come visit again, call me if you want to talk." He gave Kylee his number and set it on the table next to the bed. He smiles and leaves the room, nodding at the nurse on the way out.
Three days later.....
Wake up, sweetie. Come on just wake up. Kylee sits up in the bed, looks around and sighs. "Finally in the institution." She plops back down in her bed, she's loosing her battle against Ron. He just won't leave her alone, he won't go away, he is slowly killing her. Wow, you listened to me and actually woke up. One day I'm going to wait for you to not wake up. You will wake up, but not here. Not on this planet, you would finally get rid of me. Not that I want to go away, I enjoy our frequent chats.
"Shut up." Kylee whispers while slowly getting back up out of bed.
See, don't you just love our chats.
