The little drummer girl

There once was a girl named Claire and she had two younger sisters, Annie who was 9 and Jessie who was 1. Claire was 12. Claire and her family (her mom and sister) just moved into a new neighbourhood. The houses were spread further apart than their last house. In their old neighbourhood there was no privacy the houses were too close together. In this new neighbourhood they celebrate the old aboriginal tribes once a year. Because the houses they live in were built on old tribe lands from 1000's of years ago.

Claire went out for a walk with Annie to explore this new area. They walked about 3 blocks then found a park. They stopped at the park for a bit. There were a few kids that were on the swings or going down slides multiple times. Then over near the forest / trees they heard drumming. Claire told Annie to go see what it is. Annie grabbed Claire's hand and they both went over to the noise.

They saw a girl in native cloths and aboriginal painted face. The girl looked about in between their ages. She had long black braids with feathers weaved in and out. She had a creepy but cute grin on her face as Claire and Annie walked over.

When Claire and Annie stopped in front of the girl Claire said, "what lovely drumming you have going on little girl." The girl smiled and said, "why, thank you girl."

Annie said, "those are really cool drums, where'd you get them?" The girl replied with, "I made them of course, that's what all my people do."
"Your people?" Questioned Claire in a confused tone.
"Yes my people where do you think I came from?"
"Oh, so your family?" Said Annie.
"Something like that" the girl said.
"What's your name girl?" Asked Annie.
The girl, with no expression on her face replied, "Talitha"
"Talitha?! Why that's a lovely name." Said Claire.

Claire asked if her and her sister could try the drums and Talitha smiled and said, "sure." After Claire and Annie were done drumming they asked if they could borrow the drums. Talitha said that they could have them under one condition... They would have to bring her food everyday. If the girls failed in doing so there would be consequences.

So the next morning Annie got up at 6:00am to wake up Claire. They grabbed an apple each and ran down to the park. The girls saw Talitha sitting in a tree. They handed her the apples and she ate them so fast. Talitha asked how the drums were and the girls replied with, "they're great and really fun to play with." Talitha told them to have a good day and that was it.

When the girls got home they sat down with the drums in their room and they played them. The girls didn't even know how to play drums but somehow it actually made music. The girls were looking at the pictures around the drum and there was this one picture that disturbed them. The picture was of a three headed dog and a witch that was stabbing little girls. Annie looked away and asked Claire "why is that picture there?" Claire didn't know what to say but she went to her mom and showed her. Their mother looked confused. She said, "What's the problem girls?" The girls said, "Look mamma there are scary drawings!" The mother said, " Silly girls, you're scared of flowers?" The girls looked back at the drum to try and justify but they only saw a pattern of flowers now.

That night when Annie was asleep Claire tried to bring the drums to the garbage can. But, while Claire was on her way, from down the hall she heard Jessie her baby sister crying. She went to go check on Jessie and she saw a cooler in the middle of the room. Claire didn't see Jessie anywhere. She looked in the cooler to find... Jessie laying there like a little ice cube. She was unconscious but after Claire put her in warm blankets and put a blow drier on her she was partially ok.

Then Claire woke up Annie and tried to get her to come with her to get their mother. They ran into their moms room and starting screaming. When their mother woke up she said, "what's the problem?" The girls pulled the mom into Jessie's room. The mother looked shocked and said, "girls !? What'd you do are you trying to over heat your sister?". Claire tried to explain buts isn't know how so she just told, "something put Jessie in a cooler box I had to warm her back up". The mother sent Claire and Annie back to their room for the night and didn't say a word more to them.

In the morning the girls ran to the park to meet Talitha but when they got there Talitha had a scratch on her face. She was covered in dirt and had a scowl on her face. The girls asked what was wrong and Talitha said, "you forgot to feed me." In a angry voice. Annie spoke up and said, "come with us we can get you some food." Talitha shook her head and hissed, "it's too late now I warned you." The girls offered to give the drums back but Talitha ran off yelling, "keep them you fools!"

That night when the girls were home they played the drums in the backyard. They played a song that sounded a little creepy. Annie swung around so her face was facing the woods and she looked a little scared. "Annie, what's wrong?" Questioned Claire. Annie looked a little surprised by the question and she said, "didn't you hear that noise?" "What noise?" Claire said looking confused now. "It sounded like a little girl saying my name." Annie explained. Claire said they could sit there in silence to see if they could hear it again.

The girls sat there for a good half an hour, and they heard nothing.  Then they walked about 6 feet into the woods and they saw a little girl sitting on a stump crying. They approached her slowly. Then in a blink of an eye she screeched and swung her claws at the girls. The girls screamed and backed away quickly. When they were in their backyard again they heard a noise. An all too familiar noise. The drums. Talitha was the one playing the drums! The girls screamed in horror, "What are you doing here Talitha?" Talitha looked up with an evil smile and a burnt face. Talitha mumbled something under her breath. Then a whole bunch of demons and monsters came out of the woods surrounding the girls. The girls asked what was going on but Talitha simply just said, "you girls are our next victims. And we all get hungry after a certain amount of time" the girls screamed and saw all the creatures go into the backyard and their house. They heard their mother and sister cry out with screams and then the last thing they saw was Talitha come close to them, and pull out a knife and cut out their hearts.
