Chapter 11

Aria's P.0.V

Why did everyone want to protect me? What is so sacred about me that I need two vampires to be on guard duty. I wonder were I am. I kept my eyes closed because I was scared, and as I lay there in a bed I was still afraid. I slowly opened my eyes and saw Stefan hovering over me. " Oh I thought you might have passed out again." He said backing up. "Where am I?" I asked softly. "You're at my house, in my bed." I looked around, and sure enough I could see hints of Stefan everywhere. "Why am I here?" I kept looking around. "Because I couldn't let Damon keep you. I didn't want him to hurt you." I laughed. "Damon, hurt me!" That's was too funny. "He would never... He has protected me this far, from Katherine. She is mad because he likes me. And she wants me dead." He looked serious for a minute. "Why would she want to hurt you, over Damon. She loved me... It was me she was after."

I fell asleep later. It was peaceful, in Stefan's bed. Before I wen into a full sleep I asked, "Are you sure I can sleep here?" He was by my side in a minute. "Yeah I'll sleep over here." He pointed to a lounge chair. "You can sleep here. It's big enough for two." He smiled and slipped in. "If you insist." I whispered before drifting off into a deep sleep, "As friends..." Apparently my body wasn't accepting the "friend" thing, because when I woke up I was laying on Stefan as a pillow. I looked up and he was smiling, it reminded me of Damon. I would wake up next to him. I sat up quickly... Too quickly. My head got dizzy. "I didn't want to wake you." Stefan said. "Yeah sure." I got out of the bed and went to the bathroom. I splashed my face with water and thought, how am I ever going to get away from these boys?

Damon's P.0.V

I watched as Stefan took Aria. I was ging to let her see them, but he took her. I felt like a dictator. I wanted her away from Stefan. He has a blood lust that is uncontrollable. Just like Katherine. I was hungry, I hadn't fed yet. I found that little blonde girl with the sweet blood. As soon as she saw me she tried to run. "Remember nothing. I just want a little." I said that last time too. But this time I planned on leaving her barely alive. She tasted so sweet and juicy. I bit into her like a knife through soft butter. It was delightful. I felt her pulse start to when. I  stopped, and walked away. She would heal. The blood would e harder to get back but, the bite marks will go away soon. 

I knew someone would call the police when they saw her. Last time she thought she passed out and didn't go to the hospital. So I was in the clear for an animal attack. Life was good when you don't have worries. Next on the agenda, find Katherine.

Stefan's P.0.V

I hung up the phone and saw Aria walk out of the bathroom. She was stunning, as always. I think I liked her because she wasn't Katherine, or Elena. Because she was her own person, not a copy. I looked at the number that just called. I felt guilty, I felt like I was cheating. But I wasn't. I coulfn't leave Aria, but I couldn't bring her with me either. I guess this is a risk I'll have to take. I quickly walked up to Aria and pulled off her necklace. It burned and she looked at me vulnerable with wide doe eyes. "Please," she begged. "Hey, I am not going to hurt you or make you forget anything I promise." I cooed. I stared her in the eyes and watched as her pupils dilated. "Do not leave this house, or use the phones. No communication with anyone besides me. If someone comes to the door don't answer it." She lightly repeated the orders. I put the necklace back on. Once compelled you can't undo it.

I went to the hospital quickly. Elena was there waiting silently. "Were is she," I asked. Caroline Forbes was attacked by an "animal". Elena took me to her room. I checked her neck and saw the bruising mark on her neck. "Elena what happened?" She shook her head, "She can't remember anything, I am really scared." She had those same round doe eyes as Aria. "She should be fine after this transfusion." She shook her head in agreement.I would check on her later. Elena wanted to stay in Caroline's room. I said bye and walked down the hall. I was concentrating on heartbeats. I only heard one in Caroline's room. Either she died, or that's Katherine. I ran back into the room and Elena was gone and Caroline was dead. Her heart wasn't beating and the monitors were unplugged. I called for help and they came rushing in. She was to far gone. I am going to kill Katherine.
