Chapter 22

Aria's P.0.V

I don't know when I had stopped my little affair with Damon, but I knew that Stefan still wasn't home. Don't get me wrong, I love him, but its very hard to love something that isn't there. Damon was. Damon was always there and I guess that's why he said 'I win.' Because he did win, he won me and that's all he wanted. But it was wrong. Some where deep down I knew that Stefan left for a reason. But I didn't care at that moment. I was drunk on blood and high on love. I didn't feel a thing, but Damon's body. It felt like we were made for each other.

I knew somewhere in my heart that Stefan wasn't really in love with me. I saw how he looked at Katherine and Elena. He was destined for one of them. But since he bleed me, the only way any of that could work was if it was Elena he loved. It saddened me to think that all this trouble was because of a fake feeling. If Stefan didn't love me who would? Damon maybe, but he would need a lot of work if he wanted us to work out. I guess I never saw us as a couple.

Eventually we had to get out of bed. We didn't;t do the deed but we wanted to. It would have felt wrong because I have only ever been with Stefan. Until I knew we were over for sure, I didn't want to take that chance.

Katherine's P.0.V

I had every element for success and I was mere seconds away from a map to the cure. I walked diligently into the professors office. "Shane." I said with a suave tone. He looked up at me briefly and then back to his work. "Isn't it the notorious Katherine. You do grab the attention of most people you meet. But to me you are simply a bore." There was a slight accent in his voice that I hadn't realized was there before. "Spend a little time in England, have you?" I asked. He took no bother answer me knowing I already knew the answer to most questions. "What brings you to Whitmore College?" Shane asked trying to get me out of his office asap. "A little birdy on the grape vine told me you have the map to the cure." That didn't grab his attention more like demanded it. His eyes got bright and there was a twinkle in them as he talked. "Yes I know how to read, "said" map. But I don't know were it is." He said I simply and mater of factly.

I walked up close to him, grabbed his collar. Then BANG! The door came flying open and when I turned around, the man that I had been waiting for was starring back at me. Guilt and revenge written on his face. "Hello Stefan." I said releasing the professor.

Stefan's P.0.V

What the hell was she doing. Going all the way here just to tourcher a college professor. "What are yo doing Katherine?" I said sternly. " I was looking for the map to the cure. I knew my offer was hard to refuse so it's good that you're coming back to me." She said acting cocky. "You sure have some nerve Katherine." I said her name like poison on my lips. I know she felt the sting. "Ow Stefan," she said clutching her chest were her unbeating heart laid., "that really hurts me." She tried to give me puppy dog eyes, while I resisted hitting the puppy with my car. "Good, kinda like you hurt Elena and Aria. Or Jeremy and Bonnie?"

"Oh come on. Aria and Elena are alive. Bonnie is coming into her nature and Jeremy needed to die." That hit home, "Elena is dead, and Jeremy didn't need to die. He needed to live." She laughed maniaclly and walked up to the professor. "Where do I find the map?" She hissed at him. "On... a... a Hunter. Th..they hunt vampires and use there mark to locate the cure. But there is a catch. The cure was made for a vampire, the very first. Silas. He was a witch like his soon to be wife, they created a spell. One to make them last forever so ther love could never die. The other witches name was Qetsiyah." Shane said. I heard a slight gasp from Katherine. "Go on," I said in a rush. "Well Silas fell in love with a handmade for Qetsiyah, her name was Amara. There was nothing special about her except the love Silas had for her." That's about when Katherine snapped. "Enough! Get to the point!"

"Ok well, Qetsiyah found out about Amara and had realised that Silas took the spell and potion and used it on Amara. Qetsiyah had the only 2 cures and used the first to kill Amara. She then made Silas take the potion and he became imortal. She locked him in a cave with the cure, hoping one day he would find the nerve to take it. But as far as legend goes he hasn't, beause he knows on the otherside waiting for him is Qetsiyah, not Amara." Shane finished. "We need a Hunter." I said to Katherine and walked out. But not efore being stopped by another vampire. "Where are you going? Fun has just begun." Elena whispered in my ear.
