Chapter 1

Aria's P.0.V

It is all my fault. I suggested we go on the Wickorey Bridge. I did, not Elena not Mom or Dad. Me. Making only me responsible. I bet Elena blames herself for it. It was her idea to go to the party. Maybe it was me going to the bonfire. It again is all my fault. "Ari!! Time for school." My Aunt Jenna is our new guardian. Elena and I will be 18 in 2 years so we still had time. We are not twins. Everyone think its impossible to be born at different times and be in the same grade. It's not. She was born first then I was born about 4 months early. Its why I am so petite. So we were born about 7 months apart. Is that a crime?

I walked downstairs to Elena and Aunt Jenna looking at me. Since our parents death Jeremy has been getting high everyday. I seem to be the only one he can console to. I am always there Elena has frends that are her life. I only ever had Jeremy and Mom. She was always there for me. And now she's not. "I know Jeremy. But trust me when I say he will be fine if you give him time. That's all a kid wants." I said and then walked to the fridge. "So what did he say" Elena asked. " All he said was that he didn't care about anything and that there is no use in trying. I tried to talk to him but he said the only thing that will help is time." I started to walk to the door. "Hey Jer! you want a ride to school?" I yelled up the stairs. "No I'm good." Elena and I got into the car and left.

When we got to school all of the rage was the new kid. From what I heard he was gorgeous. His name is Stefan Salvatore. I wanted to see him. Elena and I were walking down the hall to our lockers. Elena went to Bonnie and Caroline, I went to my locker. I opened it and put all my books in, grabbed the ones I needed and shoved them into my bag. I started to walk down the hall when I saw Bonnie and Caroline staring into the office. Elena was walking away. I walked up to them, "Give me the status who is he?" They giggled and Bonnie said, "He is a total bad ass. Elena wont even look at him. I think he is hot." Then he turned around and I knew I was a goner.

Stefan's P.0.V

I could hear the girls talking about me from behind. I turned around and that girl, she looked at me with hope in her eyes. I didn't know what that meant but I wanted to. I saw every delicate feature and her piecing green eyes. She was beautiful. I waked away down the hall towards class, when the boys bathroom door opened and a girl walked out. She bumped right into me. "Oh, sorry I was just..." I laughed and she smiled shyly. Then I remembered where I saw those girls before. The night at the Wickory Bridge. I was looking for Damon. I knew he was back in town. I saved them like there father asked me too. "I'm Stefan Salvatore." I said trying to stay calm. "Elena Gilbert, and that," She pointed at the girl who walked up to her , "Is Aria my sister." They both smiled. Elena looked just like Katherine.

Thry said goodbye and walked away. I knew I wouldn't soon forget either of them. Aria looked a little like Katherine too but it was defiantly there in Elena.
